Goodbye Bruce Carr, and thank you.
Bruce knew how to arrange things
in his home, at his work, And words:
excellent ways to say how wind flows
through an abandoned house and
how to describe people in their lives.
Color overflowed his pockets.
Perhaps he channeled Georgia O’Keefe
with his many closeup photos of flowers.
Bruce shared creativity with those around him
freely with enthusiasm.
He walked like Winston Churchill,
though I don’t think he knew that.
Bruce liked hats, cooking fresh food
and gardening. He loved his friends
and family, his mother most of all.
Though he has been gone these many months
it is finally time to say
Goodbye Bruce and thank you.
May you be greeted at the pearly gates
by an angel driving a ragtop car
playing your favorite music on the radio
ready to take you to heaven’s creative corner.
