Funeral services for Carol Jeanette McAmis, 72, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. McAmis passed away at 1:28 a.m., Thursday, April 27, 2017 at her home.
She was born November 15, 1944, at Oxford, Arkansas, to Howard Davis and Velma Ford Davis. She was married to Lyle McAmis, who preceded her in death in October of 2004. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, painting, reading the Bible and spending time with her grandchildren. Carol was a Cubs fan. Mrs. McAmis was a member of Promise Land Church.
She is survived by four children, Jeff Wood and wife, Colleen, West Plains, Theresa Gray, Nixa, Missouri, Lori Barnes, Ozark, Missouri and Michael Wood and wife, Tracie, Pomona, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Britney Sadler, Austin Wood, Jeff Wood, Jr., Stephanie Weiler, Michael Barnes, Dustin Wood, Devin Wood and Benny Wood; six great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Gracee and Brynna Sadler, Caidence Weiler, Elijah Connaughton and Braxton Wood; four sisters, Judy Woodraska, Joy Bryant, Cathy Thomas and Robin Nielsen; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one brother, Don Davis and one sister, Evelyn Bolin, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m., Monday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mrs. McAmis will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Sunday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Keirn-Davis Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
