Chester Columbus Moore
Chester Columbus Moore, 97, West Plains, Missouri, died at 11:32 a.m., Monday, May 20, 2013, at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born November 15, 1915, at Holcomb, Missouri, to Albert and Fronia Miles Moore. He was a Master Ship Builder for Chris-Craft Corporation for thirty years. Mr. Moore was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, his membership currently with West 160 Church of Christ, West Plains, Missouri.
He is survived by two daughters, Emily Genette Carter, Jacksonville, Arkansas and Barbara Ann Reed, husband, Gary, Dyersburg, Tennessee; one brother, Julius (Jude) Moore, State of Washington; twelve grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-three years, Geneva Sowell Moore; his parents, one son, Danny, great-grandson, Bobby Lee Short, his twin sister, Hester, twin sisters, Verdia George and Vergie Drew and brother, Herbert Moore.
He was one of four sets of twins born of his mother and father.
Cremation was under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains. A private graveside service will be held at Old Austin Cemetery, Ward, Arkansas.
