Edward Lee “Bub” Willard
Funeral services for Edward Lee Willard, 80, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, April 11, 2014, in the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Willard died at 7:25 a.m., Sunday, April 6, 2014, at West Vue Nursing Center.
He was born July 24, 1933, at West Plains, Missouri, to Orville King Willard and Bertha Gertrude Walker Willard. He received his education in West Plains and went into the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After returning home with his honorable discharge, he later met JoAnn Harris. They were united in marriage May 12, 1956. In this union two children were born, Terry Willard of Springfield, Missouri and Sheryl Willard Shipley of West Plains.
Mr. Willard departed leaving his two children, many friends and family including son-in-law and very good friend, Chris Shipley; eight grandchildren, Jody Chrenek, Edmonton, Canada, Amanda Jenkins, Battlefield, Missouri, Wendy Maina, State of Texas, Lacey Davis, Springfield, Missouri, Terra Gilliam, Peace Valley, Missouri, Aaron Shipley, West Plains, Missouri, Melody Willard, State of Texas and Terryn Willard, Springfield, Missouri; eleven great-grandchildren; his brother, Jim Willard, wife, Lynn, Rover, Missouri; five sisters, Dorothy Storey, husband, Mickey, Springfield, Missouri, Mary Kunstleben, husband, Marv, State of Minnesota, Clara Koelling, West Plains, Missouri, Kay Hunt, State of Alabama, Sharon McReynolds, husband, Jim, State of Oklahoma; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Willard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters, Ruby Weeks and Margaret Judd, one brother, Norman Willard and one infant brother, Ernest Roy Willard.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday in the Langston Street Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Jolliff Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

I will miss Ed very much he was a great friend to Lonnie”Bud”Thompson and I. We would always go see him and talk to him about his dogs. He will be missed very much and my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I am sorry for your loss. I had a lot of great hunting memories with Bub and he was great man and he will not be forgotten. He was a great friend!
