Georgia Mae Driver
Funeral services for Georgia Mae Driver, 83, North Pekin, Illinois, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 27, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Driver passed away at 5:55 a.m., Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Heartland Health Care, East Peoria, Illinois.
She was born February 22, 1934, at Beach Grove, Arkansas, to Eldon Roberson and Maudie Walker Roberson Koelling. She was married November 6, 1952, at Pekin, Illinois, to Marvin Leo Driver, who preceded her in death on March 1, 2007. To this union two sons were born, Douglas and David. Georgia enjoyed pizza, chicken wings, word puzzles and looking through her picture albums. She continued to take the West Plains Daily Quill, even though she lived in Illinois for several years. In the past, she loved caring for the beautiful flowers in her yard in Missouri, but not as much as always being able to catch the biggest fish or being the only one to catch anything, much to her husband’s dismay.
She is survived by her two sons, Douglas Driver, Germantown Hills, Illinois and David Driver and wife, Jo, North Pekin, Illinois; one grandson, Michael Driver and wife, Christiana, North Pekin, Illinois; four brothers, Charles Roberson and wife, Rita, Forrest City, Illinois, Lonnie Koelling and wife, Bonita, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, Dale Koelling, Mammoth Spring, Arkansas and Gerald Koelling and wife, Bonnie, Byhalia, Mississippi; and two sisters, Janice Duggins and husband, Gary, West Plains, Missouri and Nora Kutsenda, Hammond, Indiana.
Her parents, husband, and two sisters, Carrie Hale and Marie Ramsey, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Free Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
