Helen Mae Peterson
Funeral services for Helen Mae Peterson, 89, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Peterson died at 12:55 p.m., Sunday, April 7, 2013, at West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born December 12, 1923, at Sturkie, Arkansas, to Samuel and Alby Wilson Hoglen. On March 6, 1943, she was married at Sturkie, Arkansas, to Eugene Peterson, who preceded her in death on February 11, 2006. She enjoyed her family, grandkids and cooking. Mrs. Peterson was a member of the United Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by two children, Danny Peterson, wife, Barbara and Dick Peterson, wife, Ginger, all of West Plains, Missouri; five grandchildren, Angie Garner, husband Jimmy, Shayne Peterson, wife, Renetta, Jason Peterson, wife, Rachel, Shawn Peterson, special friend, Denise and Brittany Stanley, husband William; eight great-grandchildren, Brady Peterson, Ashton Garner, Ethan Garner, Stone Peterson, Lawson Peterson, Shayleeana Peterson, Hunter Stanley and Haylee Stanley; one brother, Raymond Hoglen, wife, Bonnie, Jefferson City, Missouri; two sisters, Nadine Peterson and Edna Ball, both of Springfield, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, five brothers, Roy Lee, Ralph, Lawrence, Melvin and James Hoglen, one sister, Anna Newberry and one great-grandson, Zayne Peterson, precede her in death.
Mrs. Peterson will lie in state from 5:00 p.m., Tuesday until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the State Line Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Treatment Center Patient Fund or State Line Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
