Mrs Gardner, It is just fitting, if, and we know, these things must be, that you would pass away at shift change in a hospital. You spent so much of your time there in that particular hospital, you were such a huge help to me in my younger CNA days as a high school student and my beginning nursing career, you were so encouraging and so motherly even to some of us. You were working there the day the surprise twins were born, lol and you was just tickled for me, I love you and I always will, I am so sorry we were not able to keep in touch better, what with my adventuring around the country as I did, but your kindnesses will never be forgotten, and I have tried to help others the way you did us, all my career and I think i succeeded some 🙂 So Fly high into your masters arms and let that beauty of a smile of yours just spread all the joy it can all over heaven. you are not forgotten. I love you. I am sorry to the family that is left to mourn this loss, my heart goes out to you in your grief, God bless you all

One of the greatest mentors in my career at OMC. She not only mentored nurses but others like me from the Lab. She was firm, kind, knowledgeable, compassionate and when she smiled at you all was right with the world. I was grateful to be part of her care team. The world has lost a great soul but Heaven has gained a magnificent one. Fly with the ANGELS.

My mom worked under Jewell back in the 70’s. Mom thought a lot of her. Jewell was very well respected at the hospital. At that time, it was called West Plains Memorial Hospital. I am sorry for your loss. Jewell leaves quite a legacy behind. You are in my thoughts and prayers!!!
