One of the hardest working men I’ve known and he always had a story and a joke. I got some dahlia’s from him and he knew the history of all the different types and loved to hear his stories of going to Holland to a National Show. He had great honey and thanks to him I learned the difference between sorghum and molasses. He will always be a part of my life and I miss him. He lived life never slowing down. Prayers for the family and may he rest in peace.

Dear Grant–so very sorry to hear about your Dad. He was so excited to have the reunion in Branson. Periodically, he would give me a call just to chat and I would do the same. Last year, he sent me three jars of sorghum–two to bring to the reunion and one for me. He used to bring some to the reunions for the auction we had. I was able to get two jars at two different times. Since he flew last year, he figured I could drive them to Rhode Island, which I did. I only live an hour away from where it was held. It was so good to see him. During his illness, he was so grateful for all the help you and your wife gave him. I know how much he appreciated it. He would tell me about his gardening, the farmers market, etc. Your Dad was a very kind man and a hard worker. Please accept my condolences on his passing. I was hoping he would live long enough and we well enough to attend the reunion. He had a very positive attitude. He loved being a member of the USS Albany Association as well.

Grant, was sad to hear of the passing of your dad. First met him when i was a young boy delivering papers early in the morning. Him and your mom started Running Copper Kettle Bakery on the square. He was always working and had plenty of stories to tell. Ran into him last summer and was glad for the visit, talking about the old bakery, gardening, and how he was doing. He was a good man and he will be missed

It is sad to see Kinneth’s passing. He and I attended Adam’s school together, altho he always made a comment about him being there now and then. Enjoyed visiting with Irma and him when he was operating his stand by Richard’s Bro.s. He is with the love of his life, Irma, now, so he is happy.
