Leonard Virgil Rich, Sr.

A Memorial Service for Leonard Virgil Rich, Sr., 57, Thomasville, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2015, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Rich died at 4:10 p.m., Thursday, April 2, 2015, at his home, while surrounded by his loving family.

He was born March 14, 1958, at Pendleton, Oregon, to Leonard F. Rich and Irene Hurst.  On November 5, 1988, he was wed to Patty Park.  During their wonderful twenty-six year marriage they were blessed with four children together.  Leonard also entered the marriage with one daughter.  Baptized at an early age, Leonard’s foundation was built on family and faith.  He most recently enjoyed attending service at Oak Forrest Church.  A hard working man, Leonard made his living through driving a truck and was awarded the Million Mile Safe Driving Award.  He was a man of many interests, including hunting, gardening and following NASCAR, but none were as important to him as spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his wife, Patty; four children, Mikki Rich McMichael and husband, Michael, Traci Smith and husband, Paul, Tamara Truman and husband, Daniel, Leonard Rich, Jr. and wife, Kasey; six grandchildren, Daniel and McKenzie Smith, Haley Barnard-Rich and baby girl McMichael, Lexi Truman and baby girl Taylor Rich; his step-father, Harry Hurst; his mother-in-law, Alma Park; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

His parents, grandparents and one daughter, Natasha, precede him in death.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
