Leroy Cameron

Funeral services for Leroy Cameron, 89, Viola, Arkansas, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Moody Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. 

Mr. Cameron passed away at 4:43 p.m., Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Baxter Medical Center, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

He was born June 22, 1936, at Viola, Arkansas, to Bedford Oden Cameron and Mable Marie McElmurry Cameron.  On August 10, 1957, he was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Jewel Ziggler.  Leroy was an avid Cardinals fan and enjoyed watching westerns and coon hunting.  He built many homes and businesses in his community and was a hard worker, as long as a Cardinals game was not on.  Mr. Cameron loved his family and was a member of Viola Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Jewel Cameron, of the family home; two children, Regina Duncan and husband, Owen and Robin Burden and husband, Andy, all of Viola, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Jason McKee and wife, Kelli, Pottersville, Missouri, Casey McKee and wife, Victoria, Caulfield, Missouri, Tessa Lowrance and husband, Lane, Moody, Missouri and Tristan Burden and significant other, Logan Kimbrough, Peace Valley, Missouri; six great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Mattie, Jaylee, Lathan, Lainey and Alaina; special cousin, Henry Cameron, West Plains; and several nieces and nephews. 

His parents, two sisters, Wanda Minge and Irene Judd and one brother, Charles Cameron, preceded him in death.  

Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at Moody Church of Christ.  Burial will be at Moody Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Moody Cemetery, and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, Missouri.
