I just wanted to share my condolences online for your loss. Mae was truly a bright spot of my work night at Brooke Haven for the last 4 years, she was always there. She was one special soul, with a smile and a laugh that would melt my heart. I loved talking to her. I knew she used to sing at my grandparents church so i asked her to sing for me, and many times she did. I would of loved to pick her brain about all she had been through in her wonderful life. What a history. My “Mae-Mae” was a brave lady and I will miss her, but am comforted to know she is at rest and reunited with her loved ones and singing with the angels in heaven. I am just so grateful I had the chance to know her and she will always be in my heart. God bless you all always and rest in peace my sweet “Mae-Mae” !

As a teenager, I sang in the choir at First Christian Church with Mae. I also attended high school with her sons, Terry and Donald. Mae was a kind and lovely woman. My most sincere condolences are offered to the remaining family members.
