Marcelle Kay (Marcie) Roberts

Funeral services for Marcelle Kay (Marcie) Roberts, 52, Dora, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 18, 2025, at Ball Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Marcie passed away on Wednesday, July 9th, at 4:52 p.m., at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born on August 1st, 1972, in Wasco, California, to Jerry and Judy (Tallon) Tackitt. On September 7th, 1990, she married her best friend, Wes Roberts, at Elijah Church of Christ. Marcie was baptized at 8 years old by her father and was a devoted member of Ball Church of Christ. She loved her church family deeply and found great joy in singing hymns and serving others. Marcie had a big heart and a fierce momma bear spirit. Over the years, she cared for many she considered her own—through teaching and beyond. Her home was always open, often filled with “extras,” and her front porch became a place of comfort for those in need of advice, a good laugh, or simply a listening ear. Her love for her family was immense, and nothing brought her more joy than being a Granny. She never missed a chance to hold a baby. Marcie also found peace on backroads, singing her heart out—especially to her favorite songs by The Judds.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wes Roberts, and their nine children: Jay Roberts and wife Kim, Olivia Mackey and husband Scott, Bobbi Roberts, Alli Huffman and husband Tyler, Austin Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Kaylee Roberts, Stacy Roberts, and Silas Roberts. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Madison, Jase, Waylynn, Rosalie, William, and Leroy; her sister Lori Tackitt; her parents Jerry and Judy Tackitt; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, JB and Virginia Tackitt and Jerry and Lizzy Tallon, as well as her father-in-law and mother-in-law, John Henry and Purna Roberts.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, in the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Ball Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ball Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.
