So sad learning of Mary Jo’s passing. We graduated High School together and I’m sure we will all miss her.

I am thankful to have known Mary Jo both as a classmate and in our “old age”. I will miss her.

Sad to hear of Be-Jo’s passing. I am her first cousin-once-removed. The Ridgway kin has been going to Crystal Cove Resort on Lake Norfork in Arkansas since the 1950s when it was first built. Mary Jo would talk about when she was a teenager how the last night of the multi-family vacation trip her Uncle Bill (my grandfather) would take her out in a rowboat to have a one-to-one conversation while he smoked a cigar. Sweet. In later decades Mary Jo, her cousin Cindy Ridgway, the daughter of the original owners of the resort, Jane, myself and my friend Diane still vacation there. We would reunite either at the resort or MaryJo’s house in West Plains to visit for the day. Mary Jo never held opinions back and was always feisty, but loving. She had so many terrible losses and setbacks in her life, yet kept going when most people would crumble. Whenever the car is too hot and the AC isn’t kicking in fast enough, I remember MaryJo’s “technique” and now always roll down the window first. Thank you Mary Jo for the time I had with you. It was fun and I will always remember you with love.–Mary Ridgway

I went to high-school with Mary Jo, but didn’t really get to know her until later years. My husband got acquainted with Ed through our business and we spent some fun evenings with them at their home. Mary Jo was fantastic cook. She had a contagious laugh in spite of her many heartaches. Rest in peace Mary Jo. Linda Eades.

Sorry to hear about Mary Jo’s passing— from another of her ‘old’ classmates.

So sorry to hear of Mary Jo’s passing. I went to school with her daughter Michelle and Mary Jo worked with my mother Stella Collins at Invensys for years. What a sad loss, she was a wonderful lady. Melinda
