Opal Faye Hoglen McFarland
Funeral services for Opal Faye Hoglen McFarland, 90, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2016 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. McFarland passed away at 1:18 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born November 1, 1925, at Moody, Missouri, to Jim Hoglen and Della Shauffler Hoglen. On February 24, 1943, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Patrick McFarland. Mrs. McFarland was a homemaker, raising three daughters while being a 20 year navy wife. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed spending time with her family. Mrs. McFarland was a member of the Church of Christ and attended Curry Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband of nearly seventy-three years, Patrick McFarland, of the family home; three children, Patricia Bubash and husband, Jim, St. Louis, Missouri, Donna Kipp and husband, Dale, Van Buren, Missouri and Sheila McFarland, West Plains, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Kelly Dirks and husband, Brad, Kim McCabe and husband, Jerry, Karen Ciminelli and husband, Phil, Nicole Pyrtle and husband, Merlin, Danielle Conner and husband, John, Amber Wages and husband, Phil and Ashley Romans and husband, Calvin; eleven great-grandchildren; four brothers, Orville Hoglen, Donald Hoglen and wife, Eva, Paul Hoglen and wife, Edith and Richard Hoglen; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and three brothers, Carl, John and Alfred Hoglen, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Moody Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Curry Street Church of Christ and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
