    The Kissinger Families,

We want to extend our Deepest Sympathy to all of you on the passing of Peggy. I have wonderful memories of Peggy as I was growing up in West Plains and afterwards with her subbing in our West Plains R-7 School District too. She was always upbeat, smiling, friendly, and had a wonderful sense of humor! She developed relationships with all she came in contact with on a daily basis. Also, she adored Corby and was a great supporter of him as well encouraging us and Corby as needed. She will be missed. We will be keeping all of you in our daily prayers and thoughts at this time. Daily may God provide comfort, strength, peace, and encouragement. May God bless all of you.
    In Christian Love,
    Amber(Cozort), Tim, and Corby Redburn

What a beautiful tribute to a special lady. I remember looking forward to my father bringing home a “Mrs. Kissinger Rum Cake” each Christmas. Years later, she shared her recipe, and it is in our own Shannon Family Cookbook now with a loving tribute to your mom. She did, in fact, always greet me with a smile and positivity! She always had a smile just ready to burst forth! I know you will miss her, but what a legacy she leaves behind!

James, I knew your mother not only as your Mom, but as one of Lyndall’s dearest friends and a sub at the Vo-Tech where i taught for a period of time. I was always impressed by her commitment to the community, her continual optimism, and her open-mindedness. We shared many conversations and she always enlightened me and showed me a new perspective. She even shared her rum cake recipe with me that i have made and shared with many others through the years!! She was a good soul. Love, Amber Henderson Trautman

I met Peggy when she worked at DFS. She was one of only a few workers that didn’t look down on people & make them feel worse about needing help. Truly a beautiful soul. I have looked back through the years, with many fond memories of this sweet lady. My sincere condolences to her family. She will be missed by all who had the blessing of getting to know her.

Joyce and I moved to Mtn. Grove in 1970 for new careers! But our Hearts remained in West Plains and our passions remained at West Plains First Baptist where We saw and Worshipped with Peggy until We settled down with a new town (Mtn. Grove) and new Friends. However, We still remained Zizzer’s!

I came to know Ms. Peggy and her rum cakes through Rotary. Her cake always was a hit at the silent auctions. She was such a joy. Thinking of the family at this time.
