Ralph Glen Eagleman
Funeral services for Ralph Glen Eagleman, 90, West Plains, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013, in the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Eagleman died at 2:40 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2013, at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born February 1, 1923, at Leota, Missouri, to Edward Barkley Eagleman and Ella Mae Crawford Eagleman. On December 24, 1941, he was married at West Plains, to Maxine Brumitt. He was a preacher, farmer, carpenter and a jack of all trades. His passion was teaching the Bible; he had been the preacher at Washington Avenue Church of Christ since 1989. He enjoyed bird hunting, fishing, and woodworking. His woodworking products had been on display at the Farmer’s Market for a number of years. Mr. Eagleman was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of seventy-one years, Maxine Eagleman, of the family home; five children, Bobby Eagleman, of the family home, Jimmie Eagleman, wife, Patty, Judy Eastman, husband, Lyle, Ronnie Eagleman, wife JoAnn, all of West Plains and Jerry Eagleman, wife, June, Kansas City, Missouri; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, Allen Eagleman, Redding, California, Roy Eagleman, wife, Bessie, Caulfield, Missouri, John Eagleman, wife, Goldie, Caulfield, Missouri and Joe Eagleman, wife, Doris, Lawrence, Kansas; three sisters, Reba Sigler, Moody, Missouri, Lu Harper, husband, Fred, Ocala, Florida and Wilma Boyd, husband, Houston, Odessa, Missouri; and many, many nieces and nephews.
His parents, one grandchild, J.J. Kerr, two brothers, Edwin and Virgil and two sisters, Grace Mahan and Fern Harber, precede him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday in the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington Avenue Church of Christ or Free Union Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Free Union Cemetery.
