Roland Dwain Eades
Funeral services for Roland Dwain Eades, 79, West Plains, Missouri, will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7, 2012, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Eades died at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri. He was born July 16, 1932, at West Plains, Missouri, to Alfred Calvin and Letha Crow Eades. On July 2, 1955, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Emma Lee Roberts. Mr. Eades was a veteran having served during the Korean Conflict with the United States Navy. Before his retirement, Mr. Eades was employed for 34 years with Missouri Department of Transportation and was the West Plains Area Supervisor at the time of his retirement. He loved to work, take care of his farm and take care of his family. Mr. Eades was a member of China Union Church.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Lee Eades, of the family home, one son, Mike Eades, wife, Lisa, West Plains, Missouri; six grandchildren, Nathan Eades, wife, Shary, Jeremy Eades, Mason Eades, Shayne Eades, wife, Amy, Cody Eades and Shad Eades; five great-grandchildren, Calep Eades, Grace Eades, Issac Eades, Bailey Eades and Elizabeth Eades; two sisters, Joyce Lee Surface, husband, Lawrence, West Plains, Missouri and Peggy Coopman, husband, Dave, Stillwell, Kansas; two sisters-in-law, Norma Walldrop, Shawnee Mission, Kansas and Wanda Fisher, Kansas City, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents and one son, James Alfred Eades, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Evergreen Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Emma, I am so sorry that I missed hearing about Roland’s passing. He was always one of my favorite people to visit with. I am sure his sense of humor and warmth is missed by many. Doc and I think of him often. You are in our prayers. Dr. James and Abby Lofgren
