The Prevett home always felt like a visit with family. My brother and I had the privilege of growing up with Greg and had an occasional sleepover. I can remember exploring the farm and barns, watching Tom milking cows or working in the fields, and most importantly, eating those famous no-bake cookies! Tom would come in after a busy day on the farm, take his boots off and tell us a funny story or crack a joke. We usually had pancakes the next morning, or some cereal we never got to have at our house, and mom always came to pick us up way to early (we still had plenty of fun things to do).

I didn’t see Tom as often as an adult, but any time are paths crossed he was the same friendly guy I remembered as a child. Some people make a big impression on your life without saying or doing much, Tom was one of those guys. He had a presence that always made you feel welcome and comfortable. Tom was a good man and a pillar of the Peace Valley community. He will be missed, when I think of my home town, a piece of it will be missing.

Our family is praying for you Jean Ann, wishing I could give you a big hug in person.

    With Love,
Jacob, Amy, Anorah, Selah, and Milanah Smith
