Mrs. Furbee passed away at 9:29 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021, at her home.
She was born May 24, 1953, at Chicago, Illinois, to Herbert Mahn and Betty Veague Mahn. On March 11, 2000, she was married at Orland Park, Illinois, to Donald Wayne Furbee, who preceded her in death on November 19, 2018. Joanne loved helping people and enjoyed sewing, crafting and shopping. Mrs. Furbee was a Christian.
She is survived by one son, Edward stoops and wife, Kasia, Lemont, Illinois; one granddaughter, Gabrielle; one brother, Bill Mahn, Shorewood, Illinois; friend, Pam Misner, West Plains; and three nephews, Chris, Ben and Steve Mahn.
Her parents, husband, Donald Furbee, former husband, Edward Stoops and two brothers, Jack and Donald Mahn, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Dionne passed away at 2:35 p.m., Monday, September 6, 2021, at West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born April 22, 1937, at New Bedford, Massachusetts, to Phillip Binette and Elianne Duval Binette. On November 19, 1955, she was married to Robert Dionne, who preceded her in death on April 6, 2017. Lucille was a homemaker and took great care of her family. She enjoyed crocheting and other crafts. Mrs. Dionne was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
She is survived by five children, Russell Dionne and wife, Joanne, Amelia Island, Florida, Glen Dionne and wife, Dawn, Paul Dionne, Susan Pautsch, all of West Plains and Bruce Dionne and wife, Elisabeth, St. Louis, Missouri; six grandchildren, Matthew, Rebecca, Samantha, Nicole, Abigail and Benjamin; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Binette and wife, Mary, New Bedford, Massachusetts; two sisters, Bernadette LaPointe, New Bedford, Massachusetts and Jean Duggan, Acushnet, Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews
Her parents, husband, and two brothers, Armond and Eugene Binette, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Tackitt passed away at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 12, 2021, at her home.
She was born June 2, 1939, at Elijah, Missouri, to Elmer T. Hensley and Grace Tackett Hensley. On February 9, 1956, she was married at Caulfield, Missouri, to Marvin Mearl Tackitt, who preceded her in death on November 7, 2004. Mrs. Tackitt had worked at the International Shoe Factory. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and floating the river. Bonnie was a jokester and enjoyed a good laugh. Mrs. Tackitt was a member of Elijah Church of Christ.
She is survived by three children, Vicky Baumgart and husband, Greg, Springfield, Missouri, Ronnie Tackitt, Caulfield, Missouri and Misty Tackitt, Harrison, Arkansas; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Neoma Haskin; two brothers-in-law, Mark Tackitt and Hollis Tackitt and wife, Nancy; two sisters-in-laws, Vernetta Collins and Carol Tackitt; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Cyr passed away at 10:15 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born August 8, 1956, at Biloxi, Mississippi, to Arthur Roger Cyr, Sr. and Celeste Cowan Cyr. On April 18, 1981, he was married in Evergreen, Louisiana, to Sara Tanner. Roger enjoyed playing golf and loved his family and grandchildren. Mr. Cyr was a member of First Baptist Church, West Plains, where he often served as Sunday school teacher.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Cyr, of the family home; two children, Arthur Roger Cyr, III and significant other, Tracy Caroline, Ormond Beach, Florida, and Rachel Libby and husband, Michael, West Plains, Missouri; three grandchildren, Mason, Korie, and Rylie Libby; his father, Arthur (Art) Roger Cyr, Sr., Bossier City, Louisiana; one brother, Tony Cyr and wife, Tara, Bossier City, Louisiana; one sister, Lynne Young and husband, Brian, Bossier City, Louisiana; one sister-in-law, Kim Cyr, Benton, Louisiana; several nieces and nephews; and a host of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, that he loved dearly.

On September 28, 1963, he was married at Batesville, Arkansas, to Deloris Evelyn Beauchamp. Jimmy worked many years for Stewart-Morrison Redi-Mix and Branson Tri-Lakes Petroleum as a truck driver. He attended Hilltop Holiness Church in Willow Springs.

He was born June 4, 1960 in Caldwell, Idaho to Paul and Wilma (Tooley) Collins.
Keith was united in marriage to Nicki Hughes on October 25, 1985 in Willow Springs, Missouri. They shared a lifetime of love, happiness, and laughter together. Keith lived a life to be admired. He loved, sacrificed and cared for his family greatly and was an amazing Husband, Daddy and Papa. Keith was a very talented woodworker, musician, sound & light engineer and had a special way with horses and animals. He was wonderful to all who knew him and his presence will be missed tremendously from this earth. Keith was of the Christian faith. He was baptized at a young age and spent his life loving the Lord and teaching his family about the Bible. He was a great role model for his family. His family appreciates our sweet Lord for putting him in our lives and thank Him for the promise that we will be rejoined again someday.
He leaves behind the love of his life, Nicki Collins; son, Josh Lovan and wife, Sara; daughter, Jessica Collins; three grandchildren, Abby Clinton, Jadyn Lovan and Wade Collins; four great-grandchildren, Lakyn, Layah, Roy and Dawson Clinton; his father, Paul Collins; three brothers, Shane Collins, Gary Collins and Darren Collins; six sisters, Sheilla Brashers, Donna Cook, Karen Collins, Judy Redd, Paula McDaniel and Lora Collins; and numerous family and friends.

Mrs. Vaughan passed away at 6:19 a.m., Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at her home.
She was born December 3, 1935, at Bakersfield, Missouri, to Theodore Turner and Gertrude McFarland Turner. On March 8, 1958, she was married at Bakersfield, Missouri, to Max Vaughan, who preceded her in death on July 16, 2021. Before her retirement, Elaine was a bus driver and a Deputy Sherriff. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed fishing. Mrs. Vaughan was a member of Bakersfield Full Gospel Church.
She is survived by three children, Kenny Vaughan, Bakersfield, Missouri, Keith Vaughan and wife, Linda, Cabool, Missouri and Kevin Vaughan, Bakersfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Shannon Bridges, Kara Heitman, Katie Vaughan, Sam Vaughan, Sarah Middleton, Shelby Kingston and Joe Vaughan; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews .

Larry Charles Leister, 71, West Plains, Missouri, passed away at 11:30 p.m., Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Brooke Haven Health Care.
He was born October 29, 1949, in Germany, to Henry Charles and Dorothy Lee Leister. In August of 2020, he was married in the State of California, to Micki Gibbs. Larry was a Physical Therapist while living in Shelbyville, Tennessee. He enjoyed going to the gym and golfing. He loved his family.
He is survived by three children, Jeremie Leister and significant other, Angel, Pulaski, Tennessee, Jessica George and husband, Eric, Tullahoma, Tennessee and Jamie Smith and husband, Trevor, Dallas, Georgia; eleven grandchildren, Aeris, Summerly, Bryleigh, Skylee, Rachall, Abbegaylee, Rickey, Kylee, Alexis, Chloe and Zoey; and one sister, Nancy Blake and husband, John, State of Florida.

She was born September 13, 1948, at Hutton Valley, Missouri, to Henry Lewis Skinner and Zora Mullins Skinner. On January 21, 2010, she was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Leslie Holloway. Mrs. Holloway had worked at Willow Care Nursing Home and West Vue Nursing Center. She enjoyed puzzles, reading and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.
She is survived by her husband, Leslie Holloway, West Plains, Missouri; two children, Robin Burgess and Rocky Burgess, both of Willow Springs, Missouri; two grandchildren, Dalton Transmeier and Dante Burgess; one brother, Bob Skinner and wife, Beth, Pomona, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews

She was born September 14, 1951, at Delhi, Louisiana, to Payton Woodrow Farish and Dorothy Jean Hill Farish. Jimmie graduated from high school in Tallulah, Louisiana and graduated from Northeast Louisiana State College with a degree in elementary education and later received a master’s degree from Mizzou. On February 7, 1970, she was married at Transylvania, Louisiana, to George Walters. They welcomed four children together, Stewart in 1975, Stacey in 1977, Stephen in 1980 and Seth in 1989. Jimmie spent most of her life teaching, which was her greatest passion. Every student she taught was special to her and she always went above and beyond to help and encourage each and every one. Jimmie loved her family beyond measure and enjoyed spending as much time with all of them as she could.
She is survived by her husband, George Walters; her children, Stewart Walters and wife, Kayanna, Stacey Walters, Stephen Walters and wife, Kasey and Seth Walters; seven grandchildren, Seth Stiles, Savannah, Breezy, Hayden, Holden, Bryant and Paige Walters; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly Wise and husband, Pete and Deb Taylor and husband, Bruce; several nieces and nephews; and many more that she had “adopted” as her own.

Ivy passed away at 4:23 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2021, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
He was born April 17, 1969, at West Plains, Missouri, to James Ray Collins and Vera Mae Burk Collins. Ivy enjoyed his work at Specialty Air, restoring and working on cars, building different projects, and going to Cardinal’s baseball games. He loved spending time with his daughters, cheering them on in different sports and always having to sport the latest t-shirt in support, whether it was being a swim team, cheer, or dance dad.
He is survived by his daughters, Hannah Collins, Emma Collins and Isabella Collins, whom he shared with his best friend Kristen Eden; his brother, James Edward Collins and wife, Anita; one sister, Frankie Gage; his children from a previous marriage, Bailey Collins, John Collins and Justin Collins; his partner, Kila Hagler and her children, Grant, Brie, and Parker. Ivy also was a loving Papa to grand babies, Callum, Evie, Raylee, and Kailor; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, Ivy and Alta Collins, Elmer and Marie Conrad, and Roy Burk and one niece, Amy Mansfield.

Mrs. Hicks passed away at 7:25 a.m., Friday, September 3, 2021, at the Willow Care Nursing Home.
She was born February 3, 1929, at Pottersville, Missouri, to Noah Moody and Irene Crider Moody. On February 6, 1947, she was married at West Plains, Missouri to Cecil Hicks, who preceded her in death. She was a hard worker, often doing a man’s job, especially after the passing of her husband. She loved her dogs, cats and working the farm. She enjoyed her time working at the truck stop and seeing all the drivers pass thru, until she retired. She and Cecil enjoyed going square dancing in their spare time. She hauled cattle into her seventies and enjoyed going to some of the sale barns. She didn’t over complicate life, she kept things simple.
She is survived by two children; Janice Howe-Beckman and husband, Ray of Linwood, New Jersey and Freddie Hicks of West Plains, Missouri; two grandchildren, Christine Howe-Louden and husband, Lloyd of Duncannon, Pennsylvania and Justin Hicks and wife Jennifer of West Plains, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Gray of Branson, Missouri, Lane Hicks of West Plains, Missouri and Matthew Louden of Duncannon, Pennsylvania; two nephews, Matthew Hicks and Dewayne Moody and one sister in-law Lena Doris Maupin.
Her parents, husband, Cecil Hicks, brother Leland Moody, granddaughter Corine Howe and nephew Melburn Moody preceded her in death.

Kaleb passed away at 5:31 p.m., Saturday, August 28, 2021.
He was born on June 3, 2003 in West Plains, Missouri. Kaleb was a talented musician. He loved band and enjoyed writing music, playing brass instruments and seeing how low he could go. He loved his dogs with all of his heart. Kaleb was one of a kind and saw the world through his unique lenses. He had a sharp wit and great sense of humor. He was passionate about the things he loved. That included peanut butter everything and junk food of almost any kind; video games, especially Halo; making polearms and sparring to try them out; memes (they were all funny to him). He loved pathfinder, funny t-shirts and jeans. He was proud of his “Merica” and very loudly disliked big government. He was always educating us about his interests, like it or not. He collected PEZ dispensers, numerical pictures, and dice. He loved teasing. Especially calling his Aunt Mandy “Shorty”, his Mam old and his Mom anything that wouldn’t get him grounded. He was an amazing brother and was so proud of his sister. He thought his dad was a person to admire.
He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Jamie Johnson, and his sister, Melody Johnson, and his beloved dogs Chewy and Solo, all of the family home. His maternal grandparents Robin (Mam) and Kenny (Pop) Carroll of West Plains. His paternal grandparents, Nick and Diane Johnson of St. Joseph, MO. He was loved by so many family and friends and his squad. He was greeted in death by Jesus, his great grandparents Jim and Jean Sharp, Harold and Lily Carroll, and Ray Barnes.

On July 10, 1962, she was married at Berryville, Arkansas to Leo Everett Vaughn, who preceded her in death on July 24, 1985. Kittie had worked for a number of years at the International Shoe Factory. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and puzzle books. Mrs. Vaughn was a member of Curry Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by three children, Gina Collins Henderson and husband, Kevin, Kelly Carter and husband, Larry and Christine Johnson; daughter-in-law, Renea Vaughn; eleven grandchildren, Jennifer, Jaycob (lived with her and was her caregiver), Steven, Laticia, Annessa, Dalton, Peyton, Kevin Jr., Michael, Leroy Jr. and Paul Leo; thirteen great-grandchildren; four brothers, Fred, Paul, Mark and Tony; three sisters, Audrey, Frankie and Minnie; her best friend, Terry Wood; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was born May 8, 1918, at Birch Tree, Missouri, to William Albert Layman and Mattie May Ledbetter Layman. On December 24, 1940, he was married at Alton, Missouri, to Juanita Sarah (Wink) Miller, who preceded him in death on September 4, 2012. Mr. Layman was a veteran, having served with the United States Army. He worked as a sawmill operator for a number of years and was a farmer. Mr. Layman was a Bible teacher for many years and enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and talking politics.
He is survived by five children, Bletta Sunderman, West Plains, Missouri, Emelda Smith and husband, Howard, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Wilmetta Layman, Morton, Washington, Clem Layman and wife, Minta, Morton, Washington and Bill Layman and wife, Becky, Morton, Washington; eleven grandchildren, Shelley, Chloette, Ronda, Derek, Nathan, Corey, Kyle, Miranda, Sara, Ashley and Keith; sixteen great-grandchildren, Misty, Dusty, Shonda, Trey, Savannah, Rachel, Bailey, Emmalee, Payge, Wyatt, Annabelle, Alexzander, Madilyn, Sawyer, Kacie and Madison; eleven great-great-grandchildren, Kiana, Gabriel, Scarlett, Kentley, Bryce, Destiny, Makayla, Jaylee, Oliver, Amelia and Charli; one sister-in-law, LaVonne Layman, Washington, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents, wife, one son, Leon Layman, one grandson, Clinton Howard Smith, one great-grandson, Clayton Smith, son-in-law, Ron Sunderman, two sisters, Dorthy Anderson and Juanita Layman and four brothers, Lasco, Shelby, John and Bill Layman, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Graveside services for Georgia Ruth Birdsong, 89, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Oak Lawn Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Birdsong passed away at 9:09 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021, at her home.
She was born June 4, 1932, at Shelby Gap, Kentucky, to Dewy and Mary Laws. On March 29, 1974, she was married in the State of Arizona, to Clemmen Cornelius Birdsong, who preceded her in death on November 6, 2011. She loved her family and her dog, Tuffy. Georgia enjoyed cooking, baking, watching sports and going out to eat with her husband before his death.
She is survived by five children, Larry Duvall and wife, Glenda, Louisville, Kentucky, Rocky Duvall and wife, Sherry, Anadarko, Oklahoma, Darlene Duvall, Chickasha, Oklahoma, Sherry Lee Reyes, Anadarko, Oklahoma and James Wesley Duvall, West Plains, Missouri; two step-sons, Larry Birdsong and wife, Kathy, Mesa, Arizona and Leroy Birdsong and wife, Sharon, Tucson, Arizona; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews

Tammey passed away at 9:05 p.m., Friday, August 20, 2021, at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born March 31, 1961, at Fall River Mills, California, to Doris Edward Elliott and Barbara Jean Taylor. Tammey loved her children unconditionally and always put family first. She had a big heart and loved to do crafts and sew and most of all to be with her family.
She is survived by her children, Kelly Freer, Nakita Elliott and Cassandra Hoover; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; two sisters, Deanna Wright and husband, Dibbon and Valerie Alcala; and several nieces and nephews

Kathryn Melba Slane, 76, of Springfield, MO passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at Mercy hospital.
Kathryn was born April 1, 1945 in Mt. Home, Arkansas to Willie and Waukee Poe. She graduated magna cum laude from Bakersfield High School in 1963. She then attended both Draughon’s Business College and Southwest Missouri State University (MSU).
Kathryn wore many hats in life. She was a proud stay-at-home mom, an insurance agent with Sentry Insurance and continued in the insurance industry until retirement.
Kathryn was a creative and artistic gardener. She was gifted with a green thumb. She was a devoted wife and mother, an avid genealogist and enjoyed working with Find A Grave. She enjoyed the love of the great outdoors and was an award winning Camp Dutch Oven Cook.
Kathryn is preceded in death by her father Willie Lee Poe and an infant sister Rosaleah Poe.
She is survived by her husband Dennis Slane, her son Brent Slane and her mother Waukee Poe.
A Celebration of Life will be at 12:00 pm Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will be at 3:30 pm at Udall Cemetery, Ozark County Missouri.

Barbara Jean O’Connell, 74, West Plains, Missouri, passed away at 1:59 p.m., Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born September 19, 1946, at Taunton, Massachusetts, to William Maguire and Ruth Gagnon Maguire. Barbara graduated in 1964 from Dighton Rehoboth Regional High School, Dighton, Massachusetts and earned her nursing degree from Taunton Vocational School of Practical Nursing. She worked at various nursing homes in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. On October 12, 1966, she was married at Dighton, Massachusetts to William P. O’Connell, who preceded her in death on November 7, 2015. Barbara enjoyed reading and spending time with family. She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by two children, Jill Drever and husband, Thomas, Frankfort, Maine and William P. O’Connell, West Plains, Missouri; three grandchildren, Thomas Drever and wife, Alicia, Wareham, Massachusetts, Jessica Drever and fiancée, Jesse Ryder, Wareham, Massachusetts and Joshua Drever, Falmouth, Massachusetts; four great-grandchildren, Thomas, Elijah, Kaleb and Lillianna; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, two brothers, Paul and William Maguire and one sister, Sheila (Mollie) Maguire, preceded her in death.
