Lindy Wood-Russell, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on July 17, 2025, in West Plains, Missouri. She was 63 years old.

To capture the life of someone so deeply loved feels nearly impossible—but Lindy’s warmth, strength, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Born in Lynwood, California, on September 24, 1961, Lindy dedicated her life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. As a registered nurse, her compassion and intelligence touched the lives of many. But above all else, her deepest passion was her family—especially her grandchildren, whom she adored endlessly.

Lindy spent her time between Atascadero, California, and West Plains, Missouri, always putting family at the center of her world. She is survived by her children Jared Russell, Janna Stone, and Jamie Ganster, and her treasured grandchildren Jayden, Journey, Jaycie, Brooke, Jackson, and Valerie. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Wood, and her nieces and nephew: Katy, Sarah, and Justin.

She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, Jeff Russell.

Lindy will be remembered for her sharp wit, warm heart, and unwavering dedication to the people she loved. Her absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but her spirit and memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

A burial will take place at Pine Mountain in Atascadero, California. The date and details will be announced at a later time.
