Alberta “Bertie” Lucile Davis
A Memorial Service for Alberta “Bertie” Lucile Davis, 71, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 5:30 p.m., Monday, August 31, 2015, at Journey Church Ozarks, 315 W. Thornburgh St., West Plains, Missouri.
Mrs. Davis died at 1:45 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2015, at her home.
She was born April 26, 1944, at West Plains, Missouri, to James Edward Taylor and Edna Mavis Forbes Taylor. On November 14, 1980, she was married at West Plains, Missouri to Terry Don Davis who preceded her in death on October 19, 2009. Bertie loved her husband very much. They spent many happy years together. Bertie was a very hard working and loving person. She has five children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren of whom she loved and enjoyed very much. She also enjoyed going on trips to the south, never missing out on stopping in New Orleans, with her husband and family. She also loved and enjoyed her Chihuahuas. Bertie enjoyed working in her many beautiful flower gardens and watching NASCAR with her family, in particular cheering for Brad Keselowski and a few of her other favorites. When her children were young, Bertie and Terry were always faithful at taking their children on lots of very fun camping and boating outings, and yearly trips to the ocean. Bertie enjoyed going to auctions and collecting many different and beautiful tea pots.
She is survived by five children, Brenda Smith, Gassville, Arkansas, Cindy Coats, husband, Tony, Kevin Kintner, wife, Dawn, Christi Collins, husband, Graham and Tara Payne, husband, James, all of West Plains; thirteen grandchildren, Brandi Bentley, Devan Smith, Shaelee Edwards, Corey Brotherton, Blake Brotherton, Kasi Brandstitter, Audi Cotter, Brad Kintner, Brandon Kintner, Clay Collins, Austin Collins, Allie Payne and Kadie Payne; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Her parents, husband and one great-grandchild, Paisley Marie Brotherton, precede her in death.
