What a sweet lady that was loved dearly by our family. Glad to know she is now with The Lord! Sweet sweet great aunt Olene! Sincere condolences to the rest of the family…

Its hard to put In words the love I had for Granny. I have had the pleasure of knowiing Granny for several years and I don’t ever remember her being anyone but Granny. She never faultered in her faith or belief. She invented fairness and give an another chance to anyone that needed it. To her family she leaves behind, keep her memories alive for she will always be there for you. I love you all and wish I could be there to celebrate her new birth in tthe arms of Jesus! Much Love, The Cooks

Aunt Olene was such a wonderful, fun-loving aunt. I would have to say she was the aunt that I was the closest to and I always enjoyed being around her. She always had funny stories to share with us about everyone, and she always made us feel welcome in her home. My Mom and I traveled to La Junta, Colorado and West Plains to visit her and Uncle Henry several times while it was just me still at home with Mom.

I remember one time when we were in La Junta she had this nice neat shower. Well, I just loved it and sat down trying to get as much water as I could in it covering the drain all up. Long story short…I flooded the bathroom! Aunt Olene just laughed and sort of blew out her lip as she laughed. I just knew she was going to be upset with me, but if she was she didnt show it. I always thought it was funny the way she would try to hold back a laugh sometimes, but then end up blowing her lips out and making a noise.

She also would sing us a song sometimes that she had made up. 🙂

Aunt Olene was a wonderful Christan woman and lovd by many. She loved having as many of her family around as she could. I will never forget her!

I know Aunt Olene was welcomed into Gods kingdom and all your loved ones were smiling and so glad to meet with you again. I’m so sorry for her loss here on earth, and know she will be missed…but God was ready to call her home!

    Thinking of all of you,

    Love,
    Peggy

We are so very sorry for your tremendous loss. I never had the privilege of meeting her, but she sounds like a remarkable lady indeed!
