Graveside services for Hazel A. Redburn, 103, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019 at Howell Valley Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Redburn passed away at 2:41 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2019 at Brooke Haven Health Care.

She was born January 18, 1916, at West Plains, Missouri, to Matt Riley and May Tackitt Riley.  She was married to Grover Redburn, who preceded her in death on March 1, 1980.  Mrs. Redburn enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and fishing.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, three sisters, Betty Moran, Darlene Roberts and Virginia Hartman and three brothers, Ed, Harold and Leon Riley, preceded her in death.

Funeral services for William Donald Hastings, 87, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Hastings passed away at 9:15 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at NHC Healthcare.

He was born April 3, 1931, at Myron, Arkansas, to William Garland and Susie Leah Harris Hastings.  Don graduated from Violet Hill High School in 1949.  In 1951 he was married at Melbourne, Arkansas, to Myrlene Jackson.  Mr. Hastings was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict as a Corporal with the Military police.  After leaving the military, Don and Myrlene settled in Independence, Missouri.  Don worked forty-five years for Sears as an electrician.  After retirement the couple moved to West Plains, Missouri.  Don picked up the game of golf and loved playing with his wife and friends in golf leagues.  He was also an avid fisherman, hunter and loved his hunting dogs.  Mr. Hastings was a member of the First Baptist Church, West Plains and thoroughly enjoyed his Emmaus Sunday School Class.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Myrlene Hastings; two daughters, Donna Wainright and husband, Dennis and Karen Sholes; four grandchildren, Daniel Wainright and wife, Kristyn, Brent Sholes and wife, Niki, Katie Galanaugh and husband, Ryan and Grant Sholes and wife, Jennifer; fifteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

His parents, one sister, Mary Anniece Stevens and one brother, Wilbur Lee Hastings, preceded him in death.

Steven Douglas Hickman, 71, West Plains, Missouri, passed away at 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2019, at his home.

He was born January 12, 1948, at Kimball, Nebraska, to Donald and Mildred Hickman.  Mr. Hickman was a veteran, having served with the United States Marines.  Before his retirement, he worked at Regal-Marathon Electric.  He loved his family, his grandsons and his dog, Luke.  He enjoyed golf, hunting and fishing.  Mr. Hickman was a Christian.

He is survived by two children, Erin Shirley and husband, Aaron, Kansas City, Missouri and Adam Hickman and wife, Bethany, Beloit, Wisconsin; and two grandchildren, Will and Owen.

His parents and one brother, Donald Hickman, preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Leslie Dewayne Ellett, 71, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the New Hope Baptist Church under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Ellett died 6:15 a.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at his home. He was born June 10, 1947 at Mountain View, Missouri to Leslie Edward Ellett and Inez Jessie Thomas.  On August 10, 1998, he was married at West Plains, Missouri to Lorraine Horton.  Before his retirement, Mr. Ellett had been a truck driver with Trail Liner and, also, he enjoyed farming. He loved cars, especially muscle cars, took pride in sawmilling and  loved his family.  Mr. Ellett was a Christian.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Ellett, West Plains, Missouri; his son, Wayne Thomas Ellett, wife, Amy, West Plains, Missouri; his mother, Inez Jessie Thomas, West Plains, Missouri; his step-mother, Maxine Ellett, Peace Valley, Missouri; three step-sons, Steve Watts, wife, Mandy, Memphis, Tennessee, Jason Watts and Isaac Watts, both of Rogers, Arkansas; three brothers, Leroy Edward Ellett, wife, Linda, Peace Valley, Missouri, Rick Thomas and wife and Rod Thomas and wife, all of Victorville, California; one sister, Leona Nicholas, husband, Morris, Ashland, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

His father, Leslie Edward Ellett, step-father, Bill Thomas,  one brother, Dan Davis Ellett and one sister, Della Schafer, preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Ray L. Alvis, 82, Pomona, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Alvis died 12:38 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Ozarks Medical Center.  He was born August 5, 1936 at Geary, Oklahoma to William Solon Alvis and Bertha Louise Allen Alvis.  He graduated from the West Plains High School with the Class of 1955 and on May 10, 1957, he was married at Moody, Missouri to  Fern McClellan.  Before his retirement, Mr. Alvis had been employed at the International Shoe Company, had been a road grader for Howell County and was a  farmer in the Pomona area which he enjoyed.  Mr. Alvis also loved spending time with his grandson and great grandchildren and  Cloud 9 Ranch.  He was of the Baptist faith with his membership in the Forest Dell Church.

He is survived by his wife, Fern Alvis, of the family home; his daughter, Ronda Barry, husband, Dade, Pomona, Missouri; his grandson, Brian Barry, wife, Caiti, Licking, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Mason, Tyson and Camden; his sister, Freda Mayfield, husband, Ron, Ozark, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, a great-grandson, Brody River Barry, his brother, Elmer Alvis and his sister, Margaret Alvis, preceded him in death.

Funeral services for David Claude Baughman, 70, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Baughman passed away at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.

He was born December 20, 1948, at Mount Pulaski, Illinois, to Lloyd Grayson Baughman and Hulda Pauline Sholty Baughman.  On August 18, 1973, he was married at West Plains, to Debbie Easley.  Mr. Baughman was a veteran, having served with the United States Air Force.  He had worked in construction and was a sales representative for Meeks Lumber Co.  He loved to sing gospel music, play golf and coin collecting and was a Cardinals fan and a Chiefs fan.  Mr. Baughman was a member of Brandsville Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Baughman, of the family home; three children, Cheri Stump and husband, Shawn, West Plains, Missouri, Ben Baughman and wife, Renee, Trenton, Tennessee and Julie Combs Cape Girardeau, Missouri; five grandchildren, David Andrew, Tristan, Emily, Piper and Andrew; two sisters, Linda Bunch, Brandsville, Missouri and Anna Judd, South Haven, Michigan; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.

His parents, step-mother, Lena Baughman, two brothers, Howard Dale Baughman and Charles Robert Burroughs, a special cousin, Victor Featherston and a sister-in-law, Linda Baughman, preceded him in death.

Graveside services for Nicholas (Nick) Heath Hudlow, 39, Caulfield, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the County Line Cemetery near Bakersfield, Missouri under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Nick passed away at 11:03 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the Ozarks Medical Center.  He was born March 28, 1979 at West Plains, Missouri to Eugene Murl Hudlow and Beverly Kay Morris Hudlow. For several years, Nick was employed as a boilermaker; a job he very much enjoyed. He loved the out of doors, hunting arrowheads, and floating the river.  Nick lived life to the fullest, greeted everyone with a big smile, firm handshake or a hug; he had a special love for his mom and dad.

He is survived by his parents, Gene and Beverly Hudlow, Caulfield, Missouri; his uncles and aunts, Harold and Lyndal Morris, Gamaliel, Arkansas, Larry  and Catherine Morris, Caulfield, Missouri, Steve and Jeanna Morris, West Plains, Missouri, Darrell and Paulette Morris, West Plains, Missouri, Kay and Tony Liggin, Locksburg, Arkansas, Larry and Joyce Tilson, Tecumseh, Missouri, Bobbie Jack Tilson, Andover, Kansas and Betty and Loyd Robinson, State of Illinois; many cousins; and his dogs, Buddy and Rascal that were special to him.

One uncle, Doyle Morris and one aunt, Edna Marie Vann, preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Vernon Leroy Spence, 96, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Dry Creek General Baptist Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Spence passed away at 12:20 p.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at his home.

He was born July 14, 1922, in the Dry Creek Community, to Ira W. Spence and Rhilda Camilla Wood Spence.  On February 13, 1943, he was married at San Luis Obispo California, to Fern W. Webb, who preceded him in death on December 2, 2013.  Mr. Spence was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during WWII.  He was awarded four bronze stars for campaigns in Central Europe, Rhineland, Southern France and Rome-Arno; he also received buttons and lapels for European African-Middle East Theatre and four overseas bars.  He was a farmer and enjoyed his family friends and farm work.  Mr. Spence was a member of Dry Creek General Baptist Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Donna Romans, Kansas City, Missouri and Bonnie Bryan and husband, Ronnie, Pomona,  Missouri; three grandchildren, Kelley Thompson and husband, Doug, Aaron Bryan and wife, Christa and Amber Kristek and husband, Chris; nine great-grandchildren, Emily, Spencer and Pierce Thompson, Kindall, Kamrynn, Kristian and Karrington Kristek and Aiden and Tyson Bryan; two brothers, George Bryan Spence, West Plains and Jim Spence and wife, Darlene, Salina, Kansas; one sister-in-law, Betty Lee Spence, Willow Springs, Missouri; special friends, Betty Good, Springfield, Missouri and Van Turner, Willow Springs, Missouri; three caregivers, Janella Schafer, Donna Rhoads and Mary Russell and husband, Terry; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, wife, and two brothers, Clement and Willowby Spence, preceded him in death.

A celebration of life service for Lee Allen Taylor, 77, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2019 in the Rose Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Taylor passed away at 2:00 a.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.

He was born January 28, 1942, at Hutchinson, Kansas, to Melvin E. Taylor and Mildred Romance McCoy Taylor.  On February 20, 1990, he was married at Garden City, Kansas, to Selma J. Blain.  Mr. Taylor was a veteran, having served with the United States Army.  He went through boot camp at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.  Mr. Taylor became a resident of West Plains in 2010.  He enjoyed watching movies, woodworking, fishing, outdoor activities such as bird watching and had a love for animals.  He was an NFL football fan and loved to travel.  Mr. Taylor was a Christian from an early age and was baptized at the Brethren Church, Garden City, Kansas.

He is survived by his wife, Selma Taylor, of the family home and four children, Shaun, Shannon, Kristina and Christie; thirteen grandchildren; one brother, Melvin Taylor, II and wife, Jeanette; and seven nieces and nephews.

His parents, one brother, Emmerson ” Pat” McMullen, one sister, Dixie Allen and one grandson, Chandler James Metzler preceded him in death.

Linda passed away at 11:17 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at NHC Healthcare.

She was born July 16, 1945, at Princeton, Indiana.  Ms. DeBra was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict as a nurse.  She continued her nursing career for many years.  Linda enjoyed animals and loved watching movies and preaching.

She is survived by one daughter, Denise Knott, West Plains, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ryan Hargrove and wife, Amy, Jessica Hargrove and James Knott; three great-grandchildren, Isaac, Paige and Connor Painter; one brother, Jerry Pfister and wife, Donna, West Plains, Missouri; one niece, Melanie Pfister; one nephew, Greg Pfister; one great-nephew, Austin Pfister; and her dear friend, Janet Harris.

Her mother, Delores Imogene Moore Venson and her step-father, Martin Pfister, preceded her in death.

Sharon Kay Johnson, 74, West Plains, Missouri, died 2:27 a.m., Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Brooke Haven HealthCare, West Plains.

Mrs. Johnson was born August 5, 1944 in Oregon County, Missouri to Carl O. Johnson and Agnes Sandridge Johnson.  She had been married for over forty years to James Rockwell and before her retirement, she had been a truck driver.   Mrs. Johnson loved her family; she  enjoyed the time she spent visiting with her family and loved to hunt and fish.  She was a Christian.

She is survived by three children, Jennifer Smith, Crossroad, Texas, Nickie Johnson, Eminence, Missouri and Rodney Rockwell, Lee’s Summit, Missouri;  three grandchildren, Deandre, Karessa and Adrienne; two brothers, Roy Dean Johnson, Birch Tree, Missouri and Joe Johnson, Alton, Missouri; three sisters, Shirley Hardwick, West Plains, Missouri, Phyllis Cropper, Rover, Missouri and Norma Miller, Doniphan, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents and one brother, Robert, preceded her in death.

Mr. Wrinkles died 12:30 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2019 at Ozarks Medical Center.  He was born February 9, 1934 at Fox, Arkansas to Verdie Wrinkles and Nancy Lorance Wrinkles.  On November 15, 1960, he was married at West Plains, Missouri to Joyce Strong.  Before his retirement, Mr. Wrinkles had been employed as a truck driver with Doss & Harper Stone Company where he used his CB handle  “Tom Dooley”.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Wrinkles; three children, Brenda Wrinkles, Jeff Wrinkles and Rhonda Howell; seven grandchildren, Brian, Paul, Carrie, Matthew, Isabell, Stephanie and Margaret; one sister, Betty Teague; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents, three brothers, Roy, Melvin and Bobby and one sister, Ruby, preceded him in death.

He was born December 19, 1988, at Rockford, Illinois, to Brian Michael Sheetz and Deborah May Conklin.  Bubba loved life, bubble wrap and Shania Twain.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Deborah and T. K. Conklin, of the family home; his sisters and brother, Amanda Spurlock and husband, Matt, Corrie Conklin and Rylee, Randi and Timothy Sheetz; three nieces, Ashlyn, Autumn and AnnaBella; his grandparents, Dorman May and Kathy and Butch Gions; his aunts, Mary Kiefer and husband, Mike and Karen Ludeman and husband, Wilford; his uncles, Marc May and wife, Pam, and Mark Sheetz; and many loving cousins and friends.

His father, grandmothers Paula Haan and Joyce May, grandfather, Mike Sheetz, two uncles, Robbie Layton and Dale Robinson and one nephew, Kaiden, preceded him in death.

Mrs. Hall passed away at 6:50 a.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born October 16, 1921, in Ozark County, Missouri, to John M. Young and Fannie Hall Young.  On August 9, 1947, she was married at Elko, Nevada, to Ray Lee Hall, who preceded her in death on December 8, 1971.  Before her retirement, Mrs. Hall worked at Edco Microfilming. She was a loving mother and grandmother.  Mrs. Hall was a member of Webster Park Baptist Church, Springfield, Missouri.

She is survived by four children, Wanda June Rathbun and husband, Fred, Springfield, Missouri, Billy Hall and wife, Ginger, Commerce, Texas, Donna Barnhouse and husband, John, Strafford, Missouri and Patsy Holley and husband, Randy, Springfield, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Leslie Manary and husband, Chris, Teresa Carpenter and husband, Steve, Kelly Hall and wife, Judy, Kim Pirkle and husband, Scott, Carrie Wright and husband, Eric, Jennifer Hilzendeger and husband, Joey,  Kristi Lane and husband, Wayne, Nick Vickery and wife, Mary and Adam Vickery and wife, Amy; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Norma Wilbanks, 86, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wilbanks passed away at 2:34 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2019 at Brooke Haven Health Care.

She was born September 22, 1932, at Couch, Missouri, to Lynier Andrew Edwards and Vivian Marie Underwood Edwards.  On August 2, 1949, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Darrel Wilbanks.  Before her retirement, Norma had worked as a clerk in the shoe department at Richards Brothers and had worked at Wonderland daycare.  She enjoyed square dancing and loved gardening and canning the produce she raised in her garden.  Mrs. Wilbanks was a long time member of Berean Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday school teacher, nursery attendant and took care of the Church’s kitchen.

She is survived by her husband, Darrel Wilbanks, West Plains; two children, Janet Simpson and Lynn Wilbanks, both of West Plains; eleven grandchildren, Kenny Wayne, Jeanie, Kevin, Vanessa, Keith, Tony, Christal, Tiffany, Chassity, Justin and Preston; forty-three great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Edwards; and several nieces, nephews and cousins

Her parents, one great-great-grandson, one great-great-granddaughter and one brother, Houston Edwards preceded her in death.

Mrs. Neal passed away at 12:48 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2019 at her home.

She was born February 6, 1935, at Cameron, Missouri, to James S. Estes and Julia Upchurch Estes.  On July 28, 1954, she was married at Cameron, Missouri, to Billy J. Neal, who preceded her in death on June 24, 2012.  Mrs. Neal loved and cared about all of her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Judith Peterson, Caulfield, Missouri; three sons, Billy W. Neal and wife, Alice, Titusville, Florida, Rick Neal, Caulfield,  Missouri and Robert Neal and wife, Melanie, Cameron, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Cochran, Maysville, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, one brother, James S. L. Estes and one great-granddaughter, preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Donald Glen Holman, 86, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at United Free Will Baptist Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Holman passed away at 3:45 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Brooke Haven Health Care.

He was born April 4, 1932, at Alton, Missouri, to Johnny Virgil “Pete” Holman and Maureen Josephine Harrison Holman.   On October 8, 1953, he was married at Chicago, Illinois, to Clara Martha Peliwo, who preceded him in death on September 5, 2015.  Don graduated from Alton High School.  Mr. Holman owned and operated a construction business for many years.  He was the Presiding Judge of the Howell County Commission from 1983 to 1986 and was elected as the Presiding Commissioner from 1987 to 1990; he was the last judge to serve and the first presiding commissioner elected. He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening and telling stories.  Mr. Holman was a member of United Free Will Baptist Church.

He is survived by three children, Glen Holman and wife, Carolyn, Keller, Texas, Karen Friga, Nixa, Missouri and Joyce Holman-Frye, Dora, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Jen Holman, Shawna Bass, Greg Holman, Kelli Leach, Laura Jens, Kayla Lowe, Dane Friga and Matt Roberson; and nine great-grandchildren.

His parents, wife and two brothers, Hubert Holman and J. V. Holman, Jr., preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, in the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Daniel Lee Thomas, 66, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Fowler Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Thomas passed away at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 at his home.

He was born November 14, 1952, at Eufaula, Oklahoma, to Tony Thomas and Mary Taylor Strump.  On April 7, 1978, he was married at Las Vegas, Nevada to Hazel Rhodes.  He enjoyed his horses, western movies, whittling canes and visiting with people; he never met a stranger.  Mr. Thomas was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, Pottersville, Missouri and was baptized and born again on July 17, 1983.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel Thomas, of the family home; six children, Susan Reynolds and husband, Kenny, Bakersfield, California, Peggy Moon, Denton, Texas, Laura Traffanstedt, West Plains, Del Traffanstedt and wife, Charmaine, Odessa, Texas, Brandon Thomas, St. Louis, Missouri and Roseanna Tackitt and husband, Paul, Caulfield, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren, James, Lisa, Kimberly, Crystal, Danny, Jordan, Oliver, Mariah, Taylor, Tyson, Mary, Connie, Seth, Matthew, Rayna, Suzy, Jessie, Jaron and Skyla; sixteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Steve Thomas, Eufaula, Oklahoma; and one sister, Sabrina Comstock, Eufaula, Oklahoma.

His parents, one great-granddaughter and one brother, David Thomas, preceded him in death.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Will Rhodes and his wife Joan, for the kindness shown to them in their time of need; Will defines the true meaning of a brother.

Prior to the graveside service the family will have a memorial service at 12:00 Noon at First Missionary Baptist Church, Pottersville, Missouri.  Memorial contributions may be made to First Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
