Tammy passed away at 6:00 a.m., Monday, October 8, 2018 at her home. She was born March 13, 1967 at Freeport, Illinois to Russell Steele, Jr. and LeNae K. Booth Steele. On September 18, 1999, she was married at the Center Grove Baptist Church, Moody, Missouri to David William Zastrow.
She is survived by her husband, David Zastrow, of the family home; four children, Ralph Shephard, Rockford, Illinois, Kyle Steele, Fredericktown, Missouri, Sammatha Wheeler, West Plains, Missouri and Joshua Wheeler and wife, Marianne, Canada; five grandchildren; her mother, LeNae Steele, Pottersville, Missouri; one brother, David Steele and wife, Robin, Pottersville, Missouri; one sister, Phyllis Hamilton and husband, Dusty, Mechesmey Park, Illinios; and many nieces and nephews.
Her father, one brother, Russell Steele, III and special uncle, Robert Booth, preceded her in death.

Mr. Jones passed away at 8:55 p.m., Monday, October 8, 2018 at Brooke Haven Health Care.
He was born August 13, 1946, in Winnsboro, Louisiana, to Louie Jones and Lucille McKaskle Jones. Mr. Jones was a veteran, having served in Korea with the United States Army. He worked as a police officer in Ocean Springs, Mississippi from 1976 until 1988; was also a shrimp boater, carpenter and farmer. After moving to the West Plains area he was a bus driver and custodian at Glenwood School for ten years. He loved hunting, fishing, dancing and spending time with his grandkids. Mr. Jones was a Master Mason at Woodside and Bayou Lodges.
He is survived by three sons, Louie Derwood Jones, Jr., Dwight Wesley Jones and Joel Micha Jones; six grandchildren, Brooke, Bradey, Tyler, Zachary, Faith and Grace; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Troy, Bo and Larry; five sisters, Janice, Judy, Jeanette, Robbie and Violet; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents preceded him in death.

Mrs. May passed away at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018 at her home.
She was born November 23, 1938, in Howell County, Missouri, to Joseph Glen Henry and Ida Mae Walker Henry. In September of 1958, she was married at West Plains to John William Summers, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2000. Mrs. May had worked at International Shoe Factory and was a farmer. She enjoyed gardening and gospel singings.
She is survived by one son, Johnny Summers of the State of Oregon; two granddaughters, Katie and Hailey; two brothers, Raymond Henry and wife, Sue, West Plains and Donnie Henry and wife, Dorothy, Filer, Idaho; one sister, Mary Reid and husband, Tom, Peace Valley, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one sister, Jean Davis and three brothers, Bill, Darrel and Norman Henry, preceded her in death.

Mr. Nelson passed away Thursday morning, October 4, 2018 at his home.
He was born December 13, 1937, at Laramie, Wyoming, to Charles and Ivaun Nelson. Larry attended The School of Mines at Rolla, Missouri and went on to receive his Master’s in Metallurgy at the University Of Denver. On January 27, 1968, he married at Denver, Colorado, to Valerie Jane Geltz. In 1970, they moved to Ironton, Missouri. Larry worked for the Asarco Plant as a Metallurgist and taught at South Iron High School, Annapolis, Missouri. He later gained his real estate agent license and taught at Arcadia Valley High, Ironton, Missouri. In 1988, he and his family came to West Plains, Missouri, where he taught for Bakersfield High School and SMSU University, (now known as MSU) West Plains, Missouri. Being a highly intelligent person with many talents and hobbies, he was also a gifted flintknapper, recognized by many for this. Larry taught others this talent and was mentioned in several articles. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, looking for arrowheads and the many aspects of the archaeology field.
He is survived by his loving wife, Valerie, of the family home; two daughters, Laura Hurt and husband, Bob, West Plains, Missouri and Tina Howell and husband, Robert, Caulfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, Allison Ruengert, Chris Ruengert and wife, Leslee, all of West Plains, Luke Freeman and Harlie Howell, both of Caulfield, Missouri; two great-grandchildren, Madelyn Ruengert and Adam Ruengert, both of West Plains; one brother, Dave Nelson, Kearney, Missouri; one sister, Kathy Smith and husband, Warren, Kansas City, Missouri; and a whole host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charlie and Jerry Nelson, two uncles, Ed Cornelius and Mason Willadsen and one aunt, Mildred Willadsen.

Mrs. Murray celebrated her last birthday by experiencing the joyful reunion with her Lord and Savior and husband of 60 years, Glenn Murray. Rachel, or as Glenn referred to her “Rach”, passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at the Hartville Care Center.
She was born October 1, 1937, at Gid, Arkansas, to T. J. Adkisson and Addie Dell Bruce Adkisson. She faithfully served alongside her husband in the ministry for fifty-five plus years. Together they ministered in Missouri and Arkansas. She served wherever needed and even when called to play the piano without sheet music, given only instructions “play it in 4 flats please”. All of which complimented her husband’s ministry. Mrs. Murray worked in Children’s Ministry, held numerous positions in the Women’s Auxiliary, cleaned the church, worked in youth camp many years and at the same time raised a family. Her love and devotion to the Lord touched and influenced countless lives through the years and she is to be praised for all she has done for the glory of God.
Rachel and Glenn were married September 24, 1955 in West Plains. She is survived by their five children, Dwight Murray, Pomona, Missouri, Wesley Murray and wife, Judy, Houston, Missouri, Jonathan Murray and wife, Lesa, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Clarissa Moon and husband, Melvin, Hartville, Missouri and Ronald Murray and wife, Leslie, West Plains; eleven grandchildren, Sarah Rachel Murray, Kyle, Kris and Ellie Horbyk, Kyle Murray, Katie Jo Klaproth, Caleb Moon, Shanda Branstetter, Seth Moon, Gillian Maples and Emma Grace Murray; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; one brother, Shelby “Amos” Adkisson and wife, Evona, West Plains; one sister, Ernestine Doss and husband, Don, West Plains; five sisters-in-law, Eudene Holt, West Plains, Jane Mackley, Coolidge, Arizona, Joyce Moore and husband, Dwaine, Doniphan, Missouri, Sharon Johnson, Elsberry, Missouri and Sue Stillwell and husband, Kenneth, Doniphan, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Charles Stobaugh, University City, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bethel passed away Sunday morning, September 30, 2018 at his home.
He was born November 5, 1960, at Waynesville, Missouri, to Robert Lee Bethel and Fern Whitbey Bethel. On October 8, 1982, he was married at Pomona, Missouri, to Tammie Spurlock. Mr. Bethel owned Radio Shack of West Plains for eighteen years, was a real estate agent formerly with Westgate Realty, West Plains and currently with Berkshire Hathaway Alliance Real Estate, St. Charles County. He loved woodworking and had recently taken up photography. He enjoyed working in his yard which was his pride and joy. Gary was a good Dad and enjoyed time with his family. He volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, Hope Ministry Food Bank and once a month cooked and served dinner at a homeless shelter. Mr. Bethel was a member of First Baptist Church of Wentzville, Missouri. He was also a longtime member of First Baptist Church of West Plains, where he served as a Deacon, was involved with the youth group and the benevolent program.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie Bethel, of the family home; two children, Valla Bethel, Wentzville, Missouri and Jason Bethel, Overland Park, Kansas; his mother, Fern Bethel, West Plains, Missouri; one brother, Greg Bethel and wife, Tonya, Koshkonong, Missouri; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Loren Conger, Roneada and John Whitmore, Kevin and Lynn Conger and K. J. and Joan Spurlock; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Cheever passed away at 4:59 p.m., Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Hospice House of the Ozarks, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
He was born June 8, 1962, at West Plains, Missouri, to Joe M. Cheever and Ora M. Huddleston Cheever. Glenn graduated from Alton High School in 1980. On September 29, 1984, he was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Fara Martin. He worked for Marathon Electric, Grisham Properties, Walden Cattle Co. and for the last twenty-six years at Armstrong Flooring, where he was a knot sawyer, finish line operator, forklift driver and most recently a boiler operator until his illness. Glenn enjoyed hunting, fishing, bull riding, tinkering in his shop, feeding his birds, traveling with his wife to the Smoky Mountains and spending time with his grandchildren. He had a gentle and loving heart and accepted Christ as his Savior in the early 1990’s. Glenn attended Central Calvary Baptist Church and most recently First Baptist Church of West Plains. He has served in the past in the Awanas as an usher and as a deacon. Glenn will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Mrs. Jett died 9:40 a.m., Friday, September 28, 2018 at her home. She was born July 28, 1939 at Rover, Missouri to Alva Judd and Alice Bridwell Judd. She was married on September 19, 1956 at Rover, Missouri to Sammy Jett who preceded her in death on October 8, 2000. Mrs. Jett graduated from the Thomasville High School with the Class of 1957. Before her retirement, she was employed at Richard Brothers Meat Department and Dennis’s Meat Market. Mrs. Jett loved to bake, enjoyed making quilts and was a strong supporter of her community. She was a member of the Assembly of God and attended the Rover Faith Tabernacle Church.
She is survived by two children, Michael Jett and special friend, Sherry Link, Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Paula Anderson and husband, Joe, Rover, Missouri; four grandchildren, Joseph Anderson and wife, Debbie, Rover, Missouri, Justin Jett, Little Rock, Arkansas, Holly Braun and husband, Joe, Warrensburg, Missouri and Samuel Jett, Sikeston, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Hayley Braun, Austin Anderson and Macie Anderson; one brother, Alva Judd, Jr., Alton, Missouri; one sister, Kay Johnson and husband, Dale, West Plains, Missouri; her nieces and nephews, Marilyn Harris, Randy Judd, Tina Johnson, Bruce Johnson and Melva Kay Watson; and a large extended family.

She was born May 20, 1935, at Granby, Missouri, to Clyde Moffett and Dorothy Sittler Moffett. On May 25, 1954, she was married at Kansas City, Missouri, to Thurlow Donald Collins, who preceded her in death July 25, 2016. Mrs. Collins worked at West Vue Nursing Center for many years. She enjoyed canning, cooking, sewing, quilting and making crafts.
She is survived by four sons, Allen Collins and wife, Ruby, Steve Collins and wife, Nancy, Tony Collins and wife, Judy and Marvin Collins; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donnie Moffett and wife, Toni and Clyde Fullerton and wife, Bonnie; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Whisnant loved her family; they were important to her. She enjoyed gardening, working outside and loved her home and keeping it clean. Mrs. Whisnant was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Whisnant, of the family home; two sons, Charles R. Whisnant and wife, Jennie and Tracey Whisnant and wife, Tracy, all of West Plains; one step-daughter, Audrey Morin, Bellcourt, North Dakota; six grandchildren, Alan, Randy, Jess, Charlie, Jared and Michelle; several great-grandchildren, including a special great-grandchild, Lowell “Buzz” Stewart; two brothers, Thomas Lawson and wife, Debbie, Gainesville, Missouri and James Lawson, Dora, Missouri; three sisters, Faye Warren, West Plains, Marie Brumbly, State of Oklahoma and Sharon Rich, Gainesville, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Sue Ward, Dora, Missouri, Leta Mae Terry, Kansas City, Kansas and Mickey Cox, and husband, Danny, Iola, Kansas; and several nieces and nephews.

She was born December 18, 1948, at Wichita, Kansas, to Calvin Warren Surritte and Alma Jean Berry Surritte. On March 7, 1966, she was married in Howell County, Missouri, to Earl Gene Collins. Mrs. Collins had worked as a waitress and as a seamstress at Arlee’s. She loved to work in her flower garden and enjoyed canning from her vegetable garden. Jan was a great cook. Her children and grandchildren were important to her. Jan was a Christian and loved her Jesus.
She is survived by four children, Graham Collins and wife, Christi, West Plains, Missouri, Amy Sawyer, Memphis, Tennessee, Tracy Blair, West Plains, Missouri and Amanda Coffel and husband, Jeffrey, West Plains, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Clay, Austin, Elizabeth, Laken, Abby, Nicki, Benny, Katy, Levi and Devin; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Michael Surritte, Rolla, Missouri; one sister, Linda DeMore, Springfield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Holloway passed away at 2:50 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2018 at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo, Mississippi.
She was born January 6, 1934, at Camp, Arkansas, to Hasadore and Pearl Ball Perkins. On April 25, 1951, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Harvey Burl Holloway, who preceded her in death on January 24, 2018. Mrs. Holloway was a seamstress and had worked at a shirt factory in Salem, Arkansas and at Prentiss Manufacturing in Booneville, Mississippi. She enjoyed piecing quilts. She was known as Momma Holloway at the First Apostolic Church of Jumpertown.
She is survived by eight children, Deborah Cleary, Jerry Holloway and wife, Cindy, Helen Holloway, Dorothy Wright and husband, David, Ray Holloway and wife, Anita, Sherie Lambert and husband, Jim, Paul Holloway and Dianna Brown and husband, Brian; twenty-one grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Bill Perkins; one sister, Rita Tutor; one daughter-in-law, Vickie Holloway; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Waldrop passed away at 5:00 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2018 at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born May 3, 1923, at Deering, Missouri, to Clarence and Ethel Crowe Bruton. On August 15, 1942, she was married at San Diego, California, to Muriel L. Waldrop, who preceded her in death on September 4, 2007; they were privileged to celebrate 65 years together. She loved the Lord, loved being “Mama” to her two daughters and being “Mimmie” to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandson. She was so happy to see her only great-great-grandson, Lawson, on his 1st birthday. Mrs. Waldrop enjoyed being with people and being a pastor’s wife. She loved for family and friends to come to her house for any and all occasions. She also loved crafts, sewing, painting, cooking and playing games with her grandkids. Mrs. Waldrop attended Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in West Plains for several years.
She is survived by two daughters, Murlene Curtis and husband, Speedy, of West Plains, Missouri and Linda Hobbs and husband, Randal, of Thayer, Missouri; three granddaughters, Lisa Hall and husband, Peter, Rhonda Blum and husband, Rich and Gayla Olbricht and husband, Josh; four great-grandchildren, Grant Hall and wife, Amy, Logan Hall, Garrett Blum and Abby Blum; one great-great-grandson, Lawson Hall; four sisters-in-law, Nellie Rohrer, Billie Walton, Roberta Gann and Maxine Waldrop; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

She was born November 1, 1958, at Belleville, Illinois, to Marion Thomas Ellison and Trease Clair Mullins Ellison. On September 8, 1978, she was married at Pomona, Missouri, to Lowell Sherman Keeler, Sr., who preceded her in death on February 15, 2015. Mrs. Keeler drove a truck with her husband, driving all over the United States; she also worked at Country Mart, Midwest Country Kitchen and NHC Healthcare. She enjoyed bowling and loved animals. Kathy was a member of CB Radio Club with a handle of “Speedy”. Mrs. Keeler was a member of Dry Creek Church.
She is survived by two children and seven grandchildren, David Keeler and wife, Kaci, their children, Jayden, Serenity and Kathryn Lynn, all of Joplin, Missouri and Sherman Keeler, Jr. and special friend, Amanda Fox , their children, Jadon and Jacob Keeler and Nathaniel and Tyler Fox, all of Willow Springs, Missouri; her mother, Trease Ellison, West Plains, Missouri; three brothers, Clyde Ellison, Pomona, Missouri, Sidney Ellison and wife, Tammy, St. Peters, Missouri and James Ellison, West Plains, Missouri; three sisters, Trease Ellison, St. Louis, Missouri, Vicky Gomez and husband, Jose, Hempstead, Texas and Darlene Ellison, West Plains, Missouri; two half-brothers, Larry Ellison, Springfield, Missouri and Hollis Lee Ellison, State of South Carolina; one half-sister, Francis Henke, Waterloo, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; and lots of friends.
Her father and husband, preceded her in death.

A memorial service for Robert R. Gleghorn, 89, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2018 at First United Methodist Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Gleghorn passed away peacefully at 10:30 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2018 at his home.
He was born September 8, 1929, at Corning, Arkansas, to John H. Gleghorn and Grace Fernimen Gleghorn. Mr. Gleghorn graduated from Summersville High School. On June 5, 1949, he was married to Uldine Josephine “Deana” Stein at the First United Methodist Church of West Plains. Robert started working as a lab technician at the West Plains Memorial Hospital and later became the hospital administrator. He was happiest driving trucks for Southwest Truck Body.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Deana Gleghorn, of the family home; two sons, Stephen Gleghorn, Regina Gleghorn and their children, London and her friend, Bryan Pantazo and Dalton and his friend, Rose Sharp and Kevin Gleghorn and wife, Kelly and their children, Amy Sanders and husband, Steve and their children Forrest, Avery and Grayton and Chad Gleghorn and wife, Kendra and their son, Landry; one sister-in-law, Patti “Lois” Stein; one brother-in-law, Charles Stockwell; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
His parents, one granddaughter, Tana Justine Gleghorn and one sister, Deloris Stockwell, preceded him in death.

Rita Ann Stephens, our little four-eleven and three quarters Dr. Pepper queen, and a size 4 shoe wearing cutie pie, joined her loving Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 17, 2018.
Rita was born on December 30, 1946 in West Plains, Missouri to Elbert and Vanna Iretta Young. On June 15, 1964, she married her high school sweetheart, Richard Stephens. Together for 54 years, they lovingly raised three boys: Tom, Scott, and Matthew. Rita’s spirit is carried on in her husband, three sons, 10 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. As a life-time resident of West Plains, Rita worked at the West Plains Shoe Factory, Ozark Medical Center as a switchboard operator, and as the owner of Suds N in West Plains for a time. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, playing piano, going for drives, listening to oldies with her husband, and spending time with her family. Rita was a member of Junction Hill Pentecostal Church in West Plains for over 50 years.
Rita is survived by her husband, Richard; three sons, Tom, of West Plains, Scott, of West Plains, and Matthew, of Springfield, Missouri; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Ross, of Kansas City, MO, Carolyn Rumple, of Peace Valley, and several nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Eddie Ray Young and her grandparents.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 21, 2018, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, with her sons presiding. Mrs. Greenlee passed away at 6:21 a.m., Monday, September 17, 2018 at Brooke Haven Healthcare.
She was born May 16, 1944, at Corpus Christi, Texas, to Ted Ozarski and Mary Gentry Ozarski Johnson. On March 3, 1972, she was married at Wichita Falls, Texas, to Ambrose Greenlee. Mrs. Greenlee enjoyed traveling, being a mother and homemaker. She was a member of Center Grove Church at Moody, Missouri.
She is survived by her husband, Ambrose Greenlee, of the family home; two children, Emmitt Farrell and wife, Debbie, West Plains, Missouri and John D. Farrell and wife, Marie, Lawton, Oklahoma; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Her parents, one great-grandchild and one brother, Charley Johnson, preceded her in death.

Mr. Jarvis passed away at 4:55 a.m., Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Citizens Memorial Healthcare, Bolivar, Missouri.
He was born November 13, 1941, at Elijah, Missouri, to Oba Jarvis and Delphia Lawrence Jarvis. Jack spent his early childhood in West Plains and graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1959. Mr. Jarvis was a veteran, having served with the United States Army. After returning from Vietnam, he spent his life on the family farm in Ozark County, before entering Citizens Memorial Healthcare facility. Jack loved living on the farm with his dogs and cats and enjoyed hunting, cutting wood and driving his tractors.
He is survived by one sister, Carrie Babb and husband, Don, Bolivar, Missouri; two nieces, Christina Chanter and husband, Neil, Springfield, Missouri and Kim Dunmire and husband, Mark, Overland Park, Kansas; two nephews; Joe Babb and wife, Kim, LaVista, Nebraska and Bryan Kissinger and wife, Barbara, Republic, Missouri; seven great-nieces and great-nephews, Emma Chanter, Lotte Chanter, Cori Babb, Brooke Kissinger, Casey Babb, Max Dunmire and Charlie Dunmire; one brother-in-law, Ben Albin, Grandview, Missouri; and several cousins.
His parents, and two sisters, Judy Albin and Sandra Old, preceded him in death.

He was born on July 12, 1983 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains to Donald Ray King Sr. and Tracy Lee (Kesling) King. Bradley graduated from Macon High School with the Class of 2002. Bradley followed in his father’s footsteps and entered the electrical industry and became a lineman in 2006. He loved to jam out to his favorite tunes, hunt, play with his three dogs and spend time with his family, friends and line brothers; but, most importantly he loved his children.
He is survived by four children, Jason, Dylan, Aaron and Lawson King; his parents, Don and Jan King, West Plains; his fiancé, Anne-Marie Miller, of the family home; his grandmothers, Georgia Pace, West Plains and Marge Kesling, West Plains; his siblings, Donald King Jr. and wife, Maria, Garner, North Carolina, Walker Pace and wife, Jessica, West Plains, Chi-Anna Johnson and husband, Dustin, Taneyville, Missouri; his nieces, Taylor, Allie, Brenley, Avery Jane and Paylee; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
His mother, Tracy Lee (Kesling) King, grandparents, Calton and Alice Pauline King and William James Kesling Sr., preceded him in death.
A gathering for friends and family will follow services.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date for Valerie Vaneda Vincent, 56, Koshkonong, Missouri.
Valerie passed away at 7:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at her home.
She was born August 31, 1962, at St. Louis, Missouri, to Thomas Edward Vincent and Neda Florine Lucas Vincent. Valerie worked at Ozarks Medical Center. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
She is survived by one son, Jamie Roberts and wife, Amanda; two grandchildren, Hunter and Audrinna; one sister, Vickie Vincent; one brother, Ron Vincent and wife, Diane; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents preceded her in death.
