Mrs. Barton passed away at 11:51 p.m., Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born April 22, 1921, at Hoisington, Kansas, to Joel Farris Ford and Winnifred Houdek Ford. On November 12, 1937, she was married at Alton, Missouri, to Ralph Franklin Barton, who preceded her in death on May 31, 1984. Before her retirement, Mrs. Barton worked as a seamstress at Angelica Fabrication in Mountain View, Missouri. She enjoyed puzzle books and collecting coffee cups. Mrs. Barton was a Christian and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by three children, Naomi Ballou, West Plains, Missouri, Randall Barton and wife, Marilyn, Peace Valley, Missouri and Ralph Barton, Moko, Arkansas; two daughters-in-law, Bertha Barton and Barbara Barton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, David Ford, Peace Valley, Missouri; three sisters, Olive Bales, Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Delora Vest, Alton, Missouri and Martha Warren, Alton, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, two infant children, two sons, Franklin and Billy Barton, one daughter, Winnie Rose Hankins, two brothers, Lawrence and Chris Ford and one sister, Frances Ford, preceded her in death.

Funeral services for David Ray Singleton, 48, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Singleton passed away at 1:50 a.m., Monday, November 20, 2017 at his home.
He was the son of biological mother, Connie Lou Collins and adoptive parents, David J. and Dorene J. Singleton. He was born August 16, 1969, in Jackson County, Missouri. David held several jobs, but felt his greatest accomplishment was earning his maritime captain’s license and working in the oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico. Most recently, David had established a bail bonds business, which he proudly enjoyed. David was known to most as “Big Dave”, not because of his size, but because of the capacity of his heart. Friends and family knew him to be their advisor, protector, encourager, jokester and comforter. He always had a huge smile, gave the best hugs, was caring, sweet and was a kind-hearted man who would go above and beyond for those he loved. Big Dave was an authentic friend to many, but his pride and joy was his daughter, Chelsea. David enjoyed hunting, sports of all kinds (especially the Cardinals and Chiefs), playing pool, hanging out with his friends and organizing benefit events for those who had a need.
He is survived by two daughters, Chelsea Cloven and Taylor McQueen and husband, Nolan; three grandchildren; one brother, Donald Singleton; three sisters, Diedra Brixey and significant other, Jimmy, Tina Sears and husband, Harry and Debbie Smith and husband, John; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and many friends, including special friends, Ricky Goodwin, Gayla Hammond and Damon Murrell.
His parents, one brother, Kennith Singleton and special uncle, Larry D. Collins, preceded him in death.

Mr. Orf passed away at 9:55 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017 at his home.
He was born March 27, 1946, at New York, New York, to James Raymond and Sally Orf. Mr. Orf was a trucker and had visited every state in the United States. He enjoyed his Harley-Davidson and loved to hunt and fish; he enjoyed ice fishing when he lived in Buffalo, New York.
He is survived by two daughters, Charlene Hunt and husband, Skylar, Louisiana, Missouri and Lisa, of the State of Maine; one step-daughter, Erica; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Wilhelmina Rissmiller, Frankford, Missouri; one nephew; and several cousins.
His parents preceded him in death.

John M. Reinhart “J.R.”, 65, Pendleton, Oregon, passed away unexpectedly at Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains, Missouri, on November 16, 2017.
J.R. was born August 15, 1952, to Robert M. and Ruth Carson Reinhart in Peoria, Illinois. He worked for Bennett Transport in Pendleton, Oregon for twenty-one years. Mr. Reinhart was a Navy Veteran.
He is survived by his step-mother, Mary Anne Reinhart, Brimfield, Illinois; three sisters, Mary LaMaster and husband, Don, North Port, Florida, Roberta Hoch and husband, Mike, Sadorus, Illinois and Angie Stone and husband, Jim, Dunlap, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents and two brothers, Anthony J. Reinhart and Dan Maubach (Bobby Reinhart), preceded him in death.

He was born September 27, 1942, at Gideon, Missouri, to James Americus Henson and Zona Mae Patterson Henson. On December 7, 1964, he was married at Jerome, Idaho, to Penny McDonald, who preceded him in death on November 24, 1997. Harvey was a trader and had been a security guard in California. He enjoyed going to auctions and trading animals.
He is survived by two children, Pam Henson and Jim Henson and wife, Jody, West Plains, Missouri; two grandchildren, Coty Henson and wife, Missy and Dalton Henson and wife, Carlena; four great-grandchildren, Mason, Makenna, Camden and Waylon; three brothers, James Ray Henson and wife, Elaine, State of Idaho, David Henson and wife, Karen, State of California and Mark Henson, State of Florida; one sister, Reba Verleen McNeal, State of Florida; one half-sister, Janis Pierce, state of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.

He was born June 28, 2000, at West Plains, Missouri, to Tina Young Shertz and Craig Shertz. Lucas loved playing soccer; he was on the Zizzer soccer team all four years of high school. He also enjoyed Vo-Ag classes. Lucas was an avid hunter and liked to fish. He was baptized at the age of eleven and was a member of the Brandsville Church of Christ.
He is survived by his parents, Craig and Tina Shertz, of the family home; one brother, Cale Shertz, of the family home; special friend, Karenza Hunsperger, West Plains, Missouri; his grandparents, Jeanne Shertz, Tebbetts, Missouri, Mary Kirkland and husband, Curtis, West Plains and Charles Young, West Plains; one aunt, Lorrie Whitener, Holt Summit, Missouri; four uncles, Eric Shertz, Tebbetts, Missouri, Tim Young, West Plains, Matthew Young, West Plains, and Phillipp Young, Springfield, Missouri; several cousins, great aunts and uncles; and many friends.

He was born September 19, 1935, at Trail, Missouri, to Charles Green Mayfield and Mildred Womack Mayfield. On July 14, 2014, he was married at Springdale, Arkansas, to Myra Bush. Mr. Mayfield was a veteran, having served with the United States Air Force for twenty years; he was a Vietnam veteran and worked for sixteen years for the Department of Defense.
He is survived by his wife, Myra Mayfield, of the family home; three children, Dr. Samuel Mayfield and wife, Jeannie, Alexandria, Louisiana, Dr. Charles Mayfield and wife, Melissa, West Monroe, Louisiana and Dr. Greg Mayfield and wife, Julie, West Monroe, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Olivia Herold and husband, Dr. Ryan Herold, Lisa Taylor, and husband, Dr. Conrad Taylor, Kylie McIntosh and husband, Thomas, Taylor Mayfield, Justin Mayfield and wife, Natalie and Kyle Mayfield; eleven great-grandchildren and one on the way; two step-children, Sheila Killion and husband, Kole and Harvey Rainbolt and wife, Robyn; five step-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Mayfield, Lynn Mayfield and wife, Carol and James Mayfield; three sisters, Loretta Jinson, Joyce Stewart and husband, David and Reta Langston and husband, Neal; and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Pierce died 6:30 a.m., Thursday, November 9, 2017 at West Vue Nursing Center, West Plains. She was born January 22, 1927 at Birch Tree, Missouri to C. A. (Art) Pierce. She attended the Thomasville High School; in the 1960’s, she was employed at Sterling’s in West Plains and before her retirement, was employed at the West Plains Schools cafeteria.
She is survived by her niece, Kathy Mirsky, husband, Scott, Lancaster, California; and her special friends, Ricky and Rita Foster, Viola, Arkansas.
Her parents and her sister, Juanita Newbill, preceded her in death.
Michael Douglas Warren, son of the late Carl Hurd Warren and Bertha Lee Beebe Warren, was born February 1, 1953 at Vallego, California. He entered into eternal rest November 8, 2017 at the age of 64.
On September 16, 1995, Michael was married to Brenda Crabtree in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada at Chapel of the Bells. Michael was a mechanical designer at Intel Corporation in Folsom, California. He retired after twenty-two years.
Michael is survived by his wife, Brenda and three siblings: Kenneth Warren of Nezperce, Idaho, Norma Schettino and husband, Joe of Yreka, California, and Gregory Warren and wife, Cindy of Rogue River, Oregon; Brenda’s three children: Angela D. Jacobson and husband, Dale of Ozark, Missouri, Gary T. Crabtree and wife, Amy of Atlanta, Texas and Ryan T. Crabtree and wife, Monica of Strafford, Missouri; six grandchildren whom he loved very much; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one brother Carl H. Warren, Jr., and his step-mom, Nancy Warren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Halverson passed away at 7:01 a.m., Friday, November 3, 2017 at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born October 3, 1918, at West Plains, Missouri, to William Melton Stokes and Winnie Evelyn Fines Stokes. On July 6, 1936, she was married at Van Nuys, California, to Lindsey Richard “Pat” Halverson, who preceded her in death on May 11, 1996. Mrs. Halverson loved playing golf and had a passion for volunteering which included many various activities throughout the years, from little league fundraising to YMCA, bake sales and meals on wheels, which she continued to do into her nineties. She began volunteering at the nursing home to be near her husband and continued doing so after his passing to help others. Mrs. Halverson was a long time member of First United Methodist Church, where she volunteered her help for anyone needing assistance.
She is survived by one son, George Halverson; three grandchildren, Sara Jackson, Kristen Muenzer and husband, Rick and Ben Halverson; one sister, Mary Alice Gilchrist and husband, Keith; several nieces and nephews; and many cousins, including special cousins, Skip and Ina Downen and family, Laura Fine and family, Culen Haughn and the E.T. Stokes family.

Mrs. Albin passed away peacefully October 31, 2017 at Kansas City Hospice House surrounded by family.
She was born June 26, 1939 to Oba and Delphia (Lawrence) Jarvis at Elijah, Missouri.
She graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1957. She married Ben Albin on May 29, 1965 at West Plains, Missouri and had 52 wonderful years of marriage. Judy and Ben resided in the Kansas City area where they raised two children, Casey and Kim, while Ben worked as an electrician as a member of the IBEW #124. She was the proud grandmother to Max and Charlie. Judy was a loving homemaker constantly caring for her family. Anyone that ever visited Judy’s home was always well fed and made to feel at home. Judy enjoyed spending time with friends and family, relaxing at their cabin at the Lake of the Ozarks, and listening to Country and Bluegrass music.
Judy is preceded in death by her mother and father, sister, Sandy, and son Casey.
She is survived by her husband Ben; daughter Kim Dunmire, and husband Mark; two grandchildren Max and Charlie Dunmire; brother, Jack Jarvis; sister, Carrie Babb and husband, Don; and several nieces and nephews.
Judy was a kind, gentle, and peaceful soul whom was a blessing in the lives of all those that were lucky enough to have known her.

Funeral services for Vernie Pearline Warren Evans, 95, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Evans passed away at 2:28 p.m., Sunday, November 5, 2017 at West Vue Nursing Center.
She was born October 20, 1922, at Dawt, Missouri, to Oda and Nellie Warren. She was the second born of five children; Earnie, Zella, Verl and Verdon. She grew up in Dawt and received her education at Bratcher School. At the age of 18, she was united in marriage to Loyd Abraham Evans on July 13, 1940. Loyd and Vernie’s marriage brought forth the joy of four children and their families; (Freddie) and his children, Eddie, wife Loretta, their son Canyon; Doug, wife Teresa, their daughter Megan; (Frank) his daughter Karla, husband David Humphrey, their sons, Caleb and Noah; Frank’s wife Carol, and her children; John and Alison Lovelace, and a family friend Seth Mock; (Jack) and his children, son Darren, daughter Monica, husband Ryan Crabtree, and son Boston; (Shirley) husband Ralph Finley; their daughter Angie, husband Steven Crewse and their daughters, Kaylea and Harley. Loyd and Vernie were married 46 years until Loyd passed away on August 29, 1986.
They bought a farm near Bakersfield, Missouri and raised goats, hogs and milked cows. Vernie was primarily a homemaker and she did other work as well; wrote a column for the Ozark County Times Newspaper, worked for C. W. Vaughn at the Mercantile in Bakersfield and worked on the election for several years. Vernie was a long time member of the Hawkins Ridge General Baptist Church near their home before moving to West Plains, where she attended China Union Church for several years, until she became a resident at West Vue Nursing Center. She believed in Jesus Christ As her Lord and Savior. She always wanted to go to Church and enjoyed preparing meals for their Pastor or visiting Minister. Her desire and prayer, was that all her Family be together in Heaven.
Vernie spent countless hours with hands of love making quilts for others over the years. At age 85, she made all of her great-grandchildren quilts. Her passion for sewing and gardening, allowed her to participate in the annual county fair and she received many blue and red ribbons for enjoying her gifted abilities. Over the years, Vernie has spent many hours working in her flower and vegetable gardens. For many of those years, her vegetable gardens were a necessity for feeding her family. There was one time she had her arm in a cast, but still cut corn off the cob to freeze for winter food. At age 88, she was still putting out a garden and worked in her flowers. She has always been very active, her nature to be doing something all of the time. She started volunteering at Emerald City Thrift Store when she was 80, did so for three years. She was a special daughter, caring sister, devoted wife, loving mother and a proud grandmother. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and their spouses all the same. She was a kind, caring, strong Lady, and will be greatly missed.
Her parents, husband, two sons, Freddie and Frank Evans, an infant sister, Earnie, sister Zella and her husband Elmer Killion, a sister-in-law, Luberyla Warren, preceded her in death. She is survived by two brothers, Verl Warren and Verdon Warren and wife, Mildred and many nieces and nephews. Vernie was the last living of all of her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the family of John and Julie Evans.

Mr. Stout left this world for a better one at 3:16 a.m., Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Ozarks Medical Center.
He was born November 20, 1950, at Mountain Grove, Missouri, to Byron Virgil Stout and Pearl Emogene Parker Stout; he was the oldest of five children. On October 12, 2002 he married his best friend, Gala. Jim enjoyed country music and often played the guitar and sang in a band and jam sessions. He also enjoyed motorcycles. Jim liked working with his hands and loved to make things from wood as a hobby. In his life he worked as a truck driver and saw mill equipment operator. He will be very much missed by the family and friends who loved him.

Funeral services for Delbert Lee Evans, 70, Bakersfield, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 3, 2017 at Amy Baptist Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Evans passed away at 11:15 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Baxter Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 1, 1947, at Elijah, Missouri, to Cora “Imogene” Evans Mitchell. Delbert graduated from Bakersfield High School with the Class of 1966. On September 19, 1970, he was married at Bakersfield, Missouri, to Donna Rhine. Mr. Evans was a veteran, having served with the United States Army. He was a member of the Bakersfield V.F.W. and enjoyed his cattle, horses, going to flea markets and visiting while drinking coffee at The Bakersfield Café; above all he loved his family and church family. Mr. Evans was a member of Amy Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Evans, of the family home; two children, Matthew Evans and wife, Amber, Bakersfield, Missouri and Kim Shrable, West Plains, Missouri; six grandchildren, Abbigayle Evans and fiancée, Cody Robinson, Dessirae Evans, Delbert Finn Evans, Kaleb Shrable and wife, Erin, Jacob Shrable and wife, Ashley and Noah Shrable; four great-grandchildren, Easton, Koy, Everly and Mavlynn; four brothers, Richard Mitchell, Donald Mitchell, Dale Evans and wife, Jackie and Clifton Evans and wife, Linda; four sisters, Peggy Tyler and husband, John, Pat Carrico and husband, Bill, Thelma Johnson and husband, Larry and Lillie Moss; one son-in-law, Ron Shrable; one sister-in-law, Pauline Evans; one brother-in-law, Tommy Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
His mother, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lee and Faye Rhine, his grandparents, Bill and Emeline Evans, three brothers, Bennie, Dallas and Junior Evans and one sister, Artice Brown, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Hawkins Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hawkins Ridge Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life service for Carol Ann Bratcher, 72, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bratcher passed away at 12:27 p.m., Friday, October 27, 2017 at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born June 21, 1945, at Chadron, Nebraska, to Lester Van Scoy and Fern Hagler Van Scoy. On April 25, 1992, she was married at Cheyenne, Wyoming, to Wayne Bratcher. Mrs. Bratcher enjoyed quilting, playing slots and hunting with her husband.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Bratcher; two children, Regina Richardson and Alan Richardson; four step-children, Scott Bratcher, Rebecca McGee, Matthew Bratcher and Tracey Bischof; ten grandchildren; her mother, Fern Van Scoy; one brother, Jim Van Scoy; and one sister, Jackie Sorenson.
Nancy Ellen Hagle lost her fight with cancer at 1:37 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2017, in her beloved Ozarks Medical Center where she worked as a Unit Coordinator in the Emergency Department for more than 30 years. She was 69 years old.
She was born in Middletown, Connecticut, on January 12, 1948, the second daughter of Julius and Esther Glazer Starr.
When not helping to keep her colleagues on their toes at the OMC ER, Nancy loved peaceful afternoons observing the hummingbirds on her front porch. She loved to read crime fiction and watch similar television shows. She also adored movies and tv shows based on comic books, and was our own personal Wonder Woman. But most importantly, she was a devoted and doting mother and wife who cherished any and all time she could spend with her family.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Tom; son, Jason; daughter, Erica and her husband, Greig O’Brien; three grandchildren, Aubrey, Taylor and Seth; a sister, Blanche Jordan; a niece, Susan Stalcup and husband, Troy; a nephew, Richard Jordan and his wife, Renee; and numerous cousins and friends.
A casual memorial will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Come as you are, no dress attire is necessary.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, contributions may be made in Nancy’s name to the American Cancer Society and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
