Kyle passed away at 3:32 a.m., Monday, July 29, 2019 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
He was born January 21, 1999, at Mountain Home, Arkansas, to James “Marvin” Roberts and Mary Elizabeth Zastrow. Kyle graduated from Mountain Home High School with the Class of 2017 and was a technician at Baxter Laboratories. He loved playing baseball and enjoyed singing, games, karaoke and playing pool; he was a sharp pool player. Kyle had a charming personality and was loved by all.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Bales and husband, Chuck; his father, Marvin Roberts and wife, Charlotte; his grandmother, Emma Zastrow; one brother, James Roberts; one sister, Laura Roberts; two step-brothers, Shane Bales and wife, Jennifer and Tyler Bales and wife, Tess; one nephew, Caleb Roberts; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
His grandparents, William Zastrow and Tom and Marie Roberts and two aunts, Julia Wilson and Debra Henson, preceded him in death.

Mrs. Patton passed away at 11:31 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2019 at her home; she has gone to Heaven to be with Gene and Kris, oxygen free.
She was born December 5, 1949, at St. Louis, Missouri, to Lloyd Shaw and Alice Ruth DeNeal Shaw. On November 21, 1969, she was married at St. Louis, Missouri, to Eugene George Patton, who preceded her in death on October 6, 2011. Kathy worked in banking for many years. She was a member of South Fork Community Church. Mrs. Patton loved her Pulmonary Rehab gang with passion.
She is survived by two children, Teresa Rhodes and husband, Dusty and Steve Patton; four grandchildren, Tyler Rainbow and wife, Anna, Dustin Rhodes, Jena Baker and husband, Justin and Dakota Patton; two great-grandchildren, Levi and Jacob Baker; one brother, Larry Shaw and wife, Ann; and one nephew, Tony Shaw.

Mrs. Rainwater passed away at 1:57 p.m., Thursday, July 25, 2019 at her home.
She was born June 20, 1946, at Dalton, Arkansas, to L. D. Gilliam and Ethel England Gilliam. On September 2, 1962, she was married at Rochester, New York, to Dale Krusen, who preceded her in death May 28, 1993. On February 12, 2011, she was married at Maynard, Arkansas, to Ronnie Rainwater. Mrs. Rainwater was an LPN and had worked at various nursing facilities. She enjoyed reading, her house plants, crocheting and fishing. Patsy loved her family and was a member of Eastern Star Lodge 193, West Plains. Mrs. Rainwater was a member of the Church of Christ and attended Curry Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Rainwater; eight children, Fred Krusen and wife, Penny, Tupelo, Mississippi, Connie Deckard and husband, Terry, Topeka, Kansas, Donna LaBlounty and husband, Dennis, Pilgrim, Tennessee, Dale Krusen, Arena, Wisconsin, Bonnie, State of Maryland, Jimmie Stewart, Springfield, Missouri, Jammie Hellerud and husband, Troy, Nixa, Missouri and Tony Krusen and wife, Shelley, West Plains, Missouri; adopted son, Jeffery Krusen and wife, Ashley, West Plains, Missouri; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Lue Gilliam, Del Gilliam and Joe.

Mrs. Patterson passed away at 6:15 a.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Magnolia Square Nursing and Rehabilitation, Springfield, Missouri.
She was born June 21, 1952, at West Plains, Missouri to Teddy “Ted” Paul Downen and Barbara Ruth Myers Downen. Cheryl graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1970. A year later, she was united in marriage to Danny Joe Patterson. Mrs. Patterson went on to continue her education and received a Bachelor in Secondary Education from SMSU (now MSU), Springfield, Missouri. At the age of nine, she accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized. As a teenager, she joined the Assemblies of God Church and was active in the youth group. She later became a Charter Member of Faith Assembly of God Church in West Plains. Later in life, she donated her time to charities in Springfield, including Crosslines, Boys and Girls Town and Convoy of Hope.
She is survived by two children, April D. Gillogly and husband, Shawn, Springfield, Missouri and Suzanna L. Smith and husband, Rowdy, Seymour, Missouri; three grandchildren, Isabella, Trenton and Jillian; her mother, Barbara Downen, Seymour, Missouri; and the father of her children, Danny Patterson, Seneca, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her father, one infant daughter, Melody Ann, her brother, Gary Downen and her sister, Ruth Miller, all whom loved her dearly and were awaiting her arrival in Heaven.

She is survived by three daughters, Venita Hagan and husband, David, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Deborah Montgomery and husband, Ron, Prescott, Arizona and Barbra Holiday, Springfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Mrs. Steele passed away at 11:19 a.m., Monday, July 22, 2019 at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born May 30, 1924, at Cabool, Missouri, to Earl Lester Vollmar and Thelma Ilene Woodruff Vollmar. Joyce graduated from Cabool High School with the Class of 1942. On May 31, 1942, she was married at San Diego, California, to Warren G. Spears, who preceded her in death on July 19, 1982. On June 9, 2001, she was married at Fenwick Island, Delaware, to Louis Steele, who preceded her in death on May 25, 2014. Joyce was a business woman and ran her family’s property management business. She lived in Cabool, Missouri for thirty years, moved to West Plains where she resided for fifty-two years and Fenwick Island, Delaware for thirteen years. Since 1970, Joyce was a snowbird, traveling to Bokeelia and Saint James City, Florida. Mrs. Steele was a member of First Christian Church, West Plains and during her time spent in Florida, she attended United Methodist Church, Pine Island, Florida.
She is survived by her one son, Rickey Lee Spears and wife, Pat, Longmont, Colorado; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Williams and husband, Wayne, Justin Spears and wife, Trena, Loren Spears and wife, Jamie and Stacy Whiteside and husband, Robert; five great-grandchildren, Austin Williams, Audrey Drumright and husband, Hayden, Annetta Overstreet and husband, Clay, Blake Spears and Clay Rucker and wife, Kari; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Richard Taylor Robertson was born April 28, 1947 to Richard T. Robertson and Wynette Burks Robertson in Neosho, Missouri. He passed away on July 16, 2019 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Missouri. He grew up in Neosho, attended SMS in Springfield for his bachelor’s degree in mathematics. Later he earned a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling at SMS. He taught school at Dora, Missouri from fall of 1974 to spring 1976 and at West Plains High School from 1976 to 2006. He was married on December 28, 1976 to Jan Tillman in West Plains. Rich and Jan raised two sons, Taylor and Isaac.
Rich is survived by his wife, two sons, and their special friends Sara Griffith and Emma Haymaker. He is also survived by one sister, Rosa Barton, sister-in-law, Loraine Tillman, sister-in-law Cathy Gregory (spouse Ed), a nephew C W Tillman, a niece Amanda Beedle, and several close cousins.
He loved challenging students to think and teaching students how to fall in love with learning. His curiosity towards learning inspired numerous kids throughout his years teaching. In his off time, he was an aspiring meteorologist, an avid camper and loved floating Missouri streams in particular the Bryant. In retirement, he grew to love quilting and gifted family and friends with his unique quilts.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to either OMC Cancer Center or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. A casual gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, July 27th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Buck Park on BB Hwy to celebrate and remember his life. Food and drinks will be available.

Mrs. Kirk passed away at 7:20 a.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at her home.
She was born February 15, 1927, at Mountain View, Missouri, to Docia Cleo Hight Wiley. Juanita was married January 4, 1947, at Salem, Arkansas, to Elmer Wilson Adams, who preceded her in death on August 28, 1989. She was married September 3, 1994, at West Plains, to John Kirk, Sr., who preceded her in death on September 13, 1995. Mrs. Kirk was a switchboard operator at Ozarks Medical Center, formerly West Plains Memorial Hospital. Juanita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver. She was a woman of great faith and was a long time member of the First Christian Church. Mrs. Kirk was generous with her time and her love for family and friends. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was very patriotic. Juanita was active in the VFW Auxiliary and had served a term as president. She had a heart for volunteering and spent time with a special group of “dancing buddies” who visited a local nursing home on a regular basis and performed for the residents. Juanita loved to travel and was able to take numerous trips with her friends and family; most of all she loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Kirk was a faithful fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and loved watching their games on TV.
She is survived by her four children, Ron Adams and wife, Sharon, West Plains, Kathy Clark and husband, David, Cumming, Georgia, Sharon Mezel and husband, Jim, Sparta, Missouri and Darcy Harris, Ozark, Missouri; John’s children, Johnnie Kirk and wife, Tona, Coral Springs, Florida, Becky Lott and husband, Mike, West Plains, David Kirk and wife, Lisa, West Plains, and Steve Kirk and wife, Debbie, Rogersville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Scott Adams, Steve Adams, Rick Adams, Jennifer Cook, Carrie Collins, Nathan Clarkson; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends, including special friends, Sherrie Fry and Beth Collins.
Her mother, husbands, two sisters, Helen Mitchell and Hazel Daniels and four brothers, Jack Fair, Ted Fair, Lawrence Fair and Chick Fair, preceded her in death.

Graveside services for Homer Wayne Adams, 88, will be held on Friday July 26 at 2:00 pm at Oak Lawn Cemetery in West Plains, where he will be laid to rest next to his wife Nancy.
Mr. Adams was born in Borger, Texas in 1931 to Homer William and Frances Alice Snodgrass Adams, and grew up in West Plains. He was married in 1948 to Nancy Katherine Cochran of West Plains, and shortly afterward the couple moved to Texas, where they had two children, Katheryn Jane and Wayne Scott Adams. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Houston, and worked as chief Human Resources Officer at Texas Electric Steel Casting Company in Houston, until his retirement in 1980. Following retirement, he and his wife moved back to West Plains, being joined there by his parents, both children and their families. There he was able to pursue his hobbies of working on old cars, and participating in raising his grandchildren. He had 5 grandchildren – Holly Frances, Russell Scott Adams, Angelica Adams, Anastasia Adams, and April Adams. He also had 7 great-grandchildren, Kathryn Jane, Alexa, Sarabeth, Benjamin, Jake, Hayden and Clayton. He loved to travel, and was able to visit North America from California to New York, from Alaska to Florida, and from Mexico to Canada. His friends and neighbors described him as a gentleman and one who was always generous and kind. He was a family man from early in his life, and remained devoted to family throughout. In 2014, he moved to Dyersburg, TN to be near his daughter and son-in-law.
He is survived by his children and their spouses Dan and Kate Thompson of Dyersburg, TN and Wayne and Valeryia Adams, of Long Island, NY and all 12 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is much missed by those whose lives were enriched by his constant care and attention.
Preceding him in death were his much-loved wife Nancy, his sisters Mary Jane Langston and Wilma Dannhaus, and his parents.

On September 5, 1986, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Arthur Ballou, who preceded her in death on March 7, 1989. Mrs. Ballou had worked at Hy Test Shoe Company and International Shoe Factory for seventeen years. She enjoyed card games and was a former President of AmVets for the State of Missouri. He was born June 3, 1956, at West Plains, Missouri, to Dale Preston Roberts and Lola Belle Robinson Roberts. On May 25, 1984, he was married at West Plains, to Beverly Gardner. Mr. Roberts was a truck driver for Judd Enterprises. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, farming and stock car racing; Charlie loved his family.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Roberts, of the family home; four children, Matt Roberts and wife, Ashley, Seth Roberts and fiancé, Jasmine, Emily Ford and husband, Chris and Isaac Roberts, all of West Plains; two grandchildren, Margaret and Luke; and two brothers, Mike Roberts and Mark Roberts and wife, Sheryl, all of West Plains.

Funeral services for Jerry Ray Turnbull, 70, Twin Bridges, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Little Zion Baptist Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Turnbull went to be with his Savior on July 15, 2019, at his home.
He was born July 11, 1949 at Hebron, Missouri to Abra and Lola Turnbull, the fourth of eight children. In order, his siblings are James “Pete”, Bobby, John Rogers “Todd”, Jerry, Bill, Clarence, Mary Ann and Richard. Mr.
Turnbull went to be with his Savior July 15, 2019 at his home. His first five years of school was at Little Zion, a one-room schoolhouse. He finished his education at Willow Springs High School, a part of the class of 1968. Some impactful events in Jerry’s early life were the burning of his family’s home at age 5, the loss of his Dad at age 15 and the loss of his mother at age 23. Jerry’s first car was a 1961 Impala. On one date with Tangula Clinton, she set her
chocolate milk shake on the dash. When Jerry took off, the milk shake went all over the passenger side door. The stain never came out, but he decided to keep her any way. On September 1, 1967 Jerry and Tangula were united in marriage at West Plains, Missouri. Brother Ira Johnson was the officiating minister. They had an uncommonly
strong union and bond. They were truly one in adventure, life and love. Jerry and Tangula wasted no time in growing their family. Their first born was a daughter, Angela, followed by a son, Ross, then another son, Rex, a miscarriage was lost then a daughter, Sherri, was born. Jerry also took in his two youngest siblings, Mary Ann and Richard after their mother’s death. In 1977 he finished building a home for his
family, having sawn the lumber from the place in which it was built using his own sawmill. Jerry never met a stranger and had the ability to talk to anyone. He had uncommon wisdom and insight. He was always full of fun, jokes and laughter. Jerry was a logger and farmer always wanting to start early and get home. He enjoyed his work, family and friends. Always with a laugh, often called “Ole Easy” or Onery. In his logging, he became well known all over southern Missouri for his hard work and honesty. He was very strong in his Lord as in everything else.
Jerry was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents James and Minnie Belle Turnbull, maternal grandparents Walter and Dora Turnbull, parents Abra and Lola Turnbull, son Ross Turnbull, son-in-law Darin Brownfield, brothers John Rogers “Todd” Turnbull and Bill Turnbull and father-in-law Cecil “Pete” Clinton.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Tangula Turnbull, his children Angela Brownfield Pringle, Rex (Shelley) Turnbull, and Sherri (Scott) Trail, grandchildren Brittany Bergman, Ian Bergman(Kayla), Andrea Trail (Nick Wellington), Kaitlyn Trail (Elijah Decker) and Justin Trail, brothers James “Pete” (Shirley) Turnbull, Bobby Turnbull, Clarence (Rhonda) Turnbull and Richard (Mary) Turnbull and sister Mary Ann Turnbull, sister-in-laws Lois Turnbull and Marcia Turnbull, and mother-in-law Annabell Clinton.

Mr. Calhoun passed away at 8:58 a.m., Monday, July 15, 2019 at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, Missouri.
He was born October 1, 1946, at South Haven, Michigan, to Earl Calhoun and Mary Francis Belle Higgs Calhoun. On July 15, 1966, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Linda Gleason. Mr. Calhoun was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy. He worked as a staking engineer at Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative, Inc. until his retirement in 2011. Wayne loved music, but not as much as he loved his family. Mr. Calhoun was a member of Mt. Zion Lodge #327 A.F. and A.M , Scottish Rites Valley of Joplin and Abou Ben Adhem Shrine AAONMS, Springfield, Missouri; he was the District Deputy Grand Master of District #42 of Grand Lodge of Missouri. Mr. Calhoun was a Christian and was proud to serve his Lord. Wayne never allowed anything to come before helping others, even when it was a hobby of his.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Calhoun; two children, Lenna Calhoun and Lonnie Calhoun; five grandchildren, Megan, Ruben, Kevin, Danielle and Samantha; three great-grandchildren, Zaiden, Raelynn and Drake; his mother, Belle Calhoun; one brother, Coy Calhoun and wife, Carolyn; one sister, Laney Ledwa; and numerous nieces and nephews that were just as special to him as his kids.

She was born October 13, 1946, at Olden, Missouri to Edward Cyril “Bud” Brower and Helen Lucille Brower. Marcella graduated from Willow Springs High School with the Class of 1964. On May 25, 1965, she was married to Larry McMurtrey at Pomona, Missouri. She loved her kids and grandchildren. Marcella enjoyed reading the Bible and collecting Angel figurines. Mrs. McMurtrey was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Larry McMurtrey, of the family home; three children, Lisa Garner and husband, Roger, Tecumseh, Missouri, Lori Thompson and husband, Leland, St. Robert, Missouri and Michelle Bales and husband, Eric, Bakersfield, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren, Tiffany Bales, Terry Lee Saathoff, Anthony Saathoff, Teresa Saathoff, Kimberly Morris, Justin Thompson, Jacob Thompson, Lucinda Dewitt, Taylor Garner, Kristopher Garner, Dessa McBride, Jenna Wright, Jessica Bales and James Bales; thirty-three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Doug Brower and wife, Jo, Pomona, Missouri and Louie Brower and wife, Tami, Pomona, Missouri; four sisters, Janice Fritts and husband, Kenneth, Pomona, Missouri, Virginia Mitchell, South Elgin, Illinois, Karen Havens, Willow Springs, Missouri and Debbie Vigdal, Thayer, Missouri; sister-in-law, Dea Bailey, Dillon, Montana; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, one grandson, Leland Thompson Jr., four brothers, George, Chester “Pete”, Gerald and Ronald Brower and two sisters, Rebecca Lake and one infant, preceded her in death.

She was born October 12, 1954, at West Plains, Missouri, daughter of Opal L. Maynard and the late Sam G. Maynard. Janice graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1973. On April 2, 1977, she was married to Danny Squire, who preceded her in death on August 21, 2017. Mrs. Squire was an employee of Ozarks Medical Center for thirty years, having retired in 2016. She enjoyed living on the farm with Danny and the trips they took together. Jan loved her grandbabies, they were the light of her life; she also enjoyed all of her kitties.
She is survived by two children, Leslie Squire and his children, Kourtney and Hunter, Branson, Missouri and Krista Lair and husband, Heath and sons, Brett, Connor, Mason and Jax, West Plains, Missouri; her mother, Opal Maynard, West Plains; two brothers, Pete Jordan and wife, Robin and their daughter, Jenna, Columbia, Missouri and Sammy Maynard and wife, Elizabeth and their daughter, Morgan, West Plains; mother-in-law, Rachel Squire, West Plains; sister-in-law, Linda Squire, West Plains; special friend, Terrie Pearsall, West Plains; and many cousins and friends.
Her father, husband and father-in-law, Kenneth Squire, preceded her in death.

She was born April 28, 1928, at Crider, Missouri, to Marian Karr and Mary Faye McGar Karr. On July 20, 1947, she was married in Oregon County, Missouri, to William “Bill” Napier. Lena enjoyed cooking and tending to her flowers; she was very proud of her oil paintings. Mrs. Napier was a member of First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Napier; one son, William Napier and wife, Rita; four grandchildren, William Napier and wife, Dawn, Deanna Heller and husband, Richard, Lisa Accardi and Sheri Colin and husband, Isaac; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, Johnnie Karr; and one sister, Freda Karr.
Her parents, three brothers, Alvis, Melvin and James Karr, one sister, Louise Cropper and one daughter-in-law, Mary, preceded her in death.

Branch passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri.
He is survived by his parents, Cole Younger and Kandis Williams, Caulfield, Missouri; three brothers, Rhett Younger, Knox Younger and Case Younger; his grandparents, Diana and Henry Younger, Roseale Williams and husband, Dicky Stirewalt and Bobby and Yvonne Cole; aunts and uncles, Jared and Faith Campbell, Terry Martin and Thomas and Vanessa Williams; special cousins, Cadence Campbell, Caleb Martin, Lyli Williams and Pyper Williams; great grandparents, great aunts and great uncles and many other cousins.
His grandfather, Tom Williams, great-grandfather, Perry L. Younger and uncle, Kevin Martin, preceded him in death.

Mr. Kelly departed this life June 15, 2019.
He was born April 20, 1974, at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, to Carl Dalton Kelly, Sr. and Marjorie Helen Wickham Kelly. Craig attended West Plains High School. He was united in marriage to both Sandra Smith and Kristine Johns and even though they were divorced remained extremely close throughout his life. Craig was a good hearted, friendly and an extremely funny person who was kind to all those he interacted with. Throughout his life he served as a prison guard, Parks and Recreation Director, a truck driver and a carpenter. He enjoyed theatre and participated as both an actor/director and singing Karaoke. He loved spending time outside and participating in Larping as Sir Ulfric O’Kelly. Craig will be remembered as a loving father, son and brother and who was a friend to all. He will be truly missed by all who loved and knew him.
