Joanne Elizabeth Lowe

A memorial service for Joanne Elizabeth Lowe, 98, of West Plains, Missouri, will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2026, at the Historic Post Office, 204 E. Main St., West Plains, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lowe passed away peacefully in West Plains, Missouri, on Saturday, February 21, at 11:24. She was born on February 19, 1928, in Springfield, Missouri, to Glenn and Carol Lipscomb.
Joanne attended Southwest Missouri State College and left school when she married Bill E. Lowe. She later made her home in West Plains, where she became a well-known and active member of the community. She and Bill built a life centered on faith, family, and service.
Joanne was active in local organizations, including the Friends of the Garnett Library, and she served as president of Chapter CM of P.E.O. She also volunteered as a Boy Scout leader and served as president of the West Plains Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She loved going on mission trips with her husband and valued the friendships and experiences they shared.
Her many hobbies included playing bridge, traveling, golfing, and taking family trips. Joanne especially loved Christmas and all the traditions that came with it. She was an excellent seamstress and gardener. One of her favorite pastimes was collecting miniature dollhouses and carefully furnishing them with items she found during her travels.
Joanne also gave her time to the community through volunteer work, including helping in the gift shop at Ozarks Medical Center when her children were young. She was a devoted member of First United Methodist Church, where she also served as a Sunday school teacher.
Mrs. Lowe is survived by two sons, Mark Lowe and Gregory Lowe and his wife Denise; one daughter-in-law, Bonita Lowe; seven grandchildren, Melissa Hillis and her husband Eric, Shawna Feuebacher and her husband Mark, Amy Holland and her husband Rodney, Jesse Martin and his wife Heather, James Lowe and his girlfriend Monica, John Lowe and his fiancée Tiffany, and Hannah Hellyer and her husband Chris.
She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, Cole and Max Feuebacher; Tatum and Drew Holland; Lauren, Brylee, and Adley Hillis; Mason and Dean Hellyer; Kyla Martin; Emily DeAngelo, Audrey Whitten, and Gabriel Richison. One great-great-grandchild, Quinn Feuebacher; one brother, Gary Lipscomb, and his wife Betty; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill E. Lowe; one son, Mike Lowe; and one infant daughter, Jean Marie Lowe.
Joanne will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to her family, and the many ways she served her church and community.
