Lorene Fern Reavis

Funeral services for Lorene Fern Reavis, 83, Clever, Missouri, formerly of West Plains, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 17, 2018 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Reavis passed away at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at her home.

She was born June 21, 1934, at Twin Bridges, Missouri, to Charley Gilbert and Rosa Ann Tooley Gilbert. She graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1953. On August 18, 1954, she was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Frank Mahan Reavis, who preceded her in death on March 2, 1999. Mrs. Reavis was a bookkeeper at Ozark Gas Company for over thirty years. She loved her family and enjoyed working in her garden and being outdoors. Mrs. Reavis was very active in church and was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Clever, Missouri.

She is survived by one daughter, Paula Halter and husband, Stan, Clever, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Reavis, Mountain View, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Her parents, husband, two sons, Kent and Craig, three sisters, Ora Gilbert, Alma DeWitt and Irene Klingler, one brother, Earl Gilbert and Dixie Huff, who was like a daughter, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m., Saturday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Mercy Hospice or Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
