My father,Elbert Bean, and Max were very good friends their entire lives. We lived up the hill from Max and Elaine and would often walk down to play with their baby boys before catching the bus to school. Max and Elaine were always so good to us. Love you Max

Max sure was a good guy. I saw him and Elaine a couple of years ago with Kenny and Elaine said something about us when we were kids and I said yeah I guess we were a little ornery. She said a little! Max just chuckled. ?? I’m sure all y’all family sure are going to miss him. My love and sympathy to all of you. ???????? Susan

I are very sorry about Max, I have enjoyed knowing all of you, I think I taught all of you kids. Max always enjoyed life, even when he was hurt so bad in the truck wreck that time. He was proud of all of you, with good reason. Joe and Linda Smith

Elaine, I have many fond memories of working with you and Max through the Sheriff’s Office of Howell County. I know this is a difficult time for you and your family, but take heart, we will see Max again soon…
