A Mass of Resurrection for Mercedes Aguilar Olàn, 95, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mrs. Olàn died at 7:25 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, 2012, at West Vue Nursing Center.

She was born February 18, 1917, at Ver. Mexico, to Jose Merced Aguilar and Fabiana Carmona Aguilar.  In February, 1952, she was married at Ver. Mexico, to Felipe Olàn, who preceded her in death in 2002.  She was a seamstress and worked at Lytton’s Clothing Store, Chicago, Illinois.  Mrs. Olàn  was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, West Plains, Missouri.

She is survived by one daughter, Magdalena O. Perez, husband, Felipe, West Plains, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jose Perez, wife, Patricia, Rodolfo Perez, Felipe Perez, wife, Becky and Maggie Alvarado, husband, Jesus; nine great-grandchildren, Michelle Perez, Joshua Alvarado, wife, Anneleise, Natasha Alvarado, significant other, Jessie Rodriguez, Marcus Alvarado, significant other, Lizzesette Gomez, Rudy Perez, Jessica Perez, Claire Perez, Nicholas Perez and Juliana Perez;  and one great-great-grandchild on the way; one brother, James Aguilar, wife, Imo Jean; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, one great-grandchild, Jeremy Alvarado, one brother and three sisters, precede her in death.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 14, 2012, with prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Riverways Hospice or Alzheimer’s Association, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
