Patricia May Hammond
Memorial services for Patricia May (Blackburn) Hammond, 64, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 at the Dawt Church of Christ, Dawt, Missouri.
Mrs. Hammond died 5:25 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2014 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. She was born July 1, 1950 at Gainesville, Missouri the daughter of Flay O’Dell Blackburn and Dorothy Evangeline Crider Blackburn. Mrs. Hammond was employed as an accounts representative with Air Evac. She enjoyed raising English bull dogs, spending time at the river and loved her family. Mrs. Hammond was a member of the Church of Christ and attended the Dawt Church of Christ.
She is survived by two children, Casey Smith, husband, Sean and Matt Trent, all of West Plains, Missouri; four grandchildren, Morgan, Nicholas, Jessie, and Claudia; three brothers, Bob Blackburn, Jim Blackburn, wife, Janice and Jack Blackburn; three sisters, Kathy Snell, husband, Clarence, Linda Blackburn and Nancy Wamser, husband, Mike; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and one sister, Cynthia Blackburn, precede her in death.

My prayers are with you, she was a very special lady. One that you could depend on and could confide in. I will miss her very much but most of all I will treasure her laugh always.
It was one of a kind and it made you feel good hearing it even when you were feeling down. She could always make you smile with that laugh. Take care and I will remember you in my prayers.

So sorry to hear about Patty, my thoughts and prayers are with the entire family. May God give you strength, courage and understanding during this very difficult time. She was a wonderful person. Patty always had a smile on her face and said hello whenever I would see her.

My heart goes out to all of Pat’s family. She was such a treasure to everyone who had the honor to know her. I will forever remember her as one of the best friends I have ever had. May God comfort all her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My heart goes out to all the family. Had only seen Pat a few times in recent years but remember her beig such a good friend when we were still very young. Praying for comfort for all the family.

Pat was such a caring person she cared for every one she sure loved her dogs and everyone loved Pat including her dogs. She always had a smile on her face even if she didn’t feel good .She was a very good friend we had a lot of fun together doing a lot of goofy stuff and we also had our sad times. Everyone that knew Pat knew she was this kind of person a GREAT person to know.
