Rhubein Elmer Belcher

A Celebration of Life for Rhubein Elmer Belcher, 78, Caulfield, Missouri, will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Free Union Church.
Mr. Belcher passed away at 12:49 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2025, at his home.
He was born November 5, 1946, in Howell County, Missouri, to Lee Belcher and Ruby Driver McCarty. Mr. Belcher was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during Vietnam. He retired from MODOT where he was a shed foreman. On December 24, 1970, he was married at Thayer, Missouri, to Carla Lynch. He was a great outdoorsman and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Belcher moved to Granby, Colorado where he managed the Lawson Ranch for 9 ½ years. While in Colorado he gave wagon rides, sleigh rides, wedding carriage rides and guided hunting trips. He also worked for CDOT. Mr. Belcher returned to his homestead in Moody, Missouri, where he became a sheep herder for thirteen years and enjoyed taking care of his farm. Mr. Belcher was the president of the Free Union Cemetery Board, was one of the founding members of the Moody Fire Department and was a board member of the Moody Community Building. To know Rhubein was to love him.
He is survived by his wife, Carla Belcher, of the family home; one daughter, Brandi Evans, Mountain View, Missouri; two grandsons, Brady Evans and Jesse Evans, both of the family farm; one brother, Walter Belcher, West Plains; two sisters, Vivian Price, Springfield, Missouri and Vera Thomas, West Plains; three sisters-in-law, Paula DeLacqueseaux, Deanna Sparkman and Donna Haarstad; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
His parents, one son-in-law, Joseph (Joey) Doria, one sister-in-law and several brothers-in-law preceded him in death.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project, and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main St., West Plains, Missouri.
