Funeral services for Teddy Lee Callahan, 59, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Callahan passed away at 3:55 p.m., Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Evelyn’s House, St. Louis, Missouri.
He was born July 31, 1960, at West Plains, Missouri, to Hayden Laverne Callahan and Martha “Louise” Harris Callahan. On August 3, 2013, he was married at Shilo Baptist Church, Rover, Missouri, to Annette Barton Hogue. After uniting in marriage to Annette, Ted gained two beautiful daughters, Ashlyn Danielle and husband, Brandon Waggoner, Allison Taylor Hogue and his precious little buddy, Dawson Lee Wayne Hogue. Ted was lovingly welcomed into his additional family by his father and mother-in-law, Gary and Dorothy Barton of Alton, Missouri and sister-in-law, Valerie Burrow and husband, Tony of West Plains. Ted was a soft hearted, patient, loving, compassionate husband and father to his family. He was a born again Christian and a member of Shilo Baptist Church. His passion in addition to family and friends was his love for farming. He had an eye and great knowledge of cattle and livestock. Ted was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist. Mr. Callahan retired from DRS after working thirty-seven years.
He is survived by his wife, Annette, of the family home; two daughters, Ashlyn Waggoner and husband, Brandon and Allison Hogue, all of West Plains; one grandson, Dawson; two brothers, John E. Callahan and wife, Cheryl and Kenneth Callahan, all of West Plains; one sister, Elizabeth Callahan, St. Louis, Missouri; one niece, Brianna Callahan; one nephew, Jon Ryan Callahan; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, John Ed and Alpha Easley Callahan and Ted and Agnes Harris, one infant grandson, Hayden Michael Waggoner and numerous aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family for Medical Expenses, Evelyn’s House or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (designated for mantle cell lymphoma) and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Homeland Cemetery.

I praise God that he is no longer suffering and I am placing you and your family in the comforting arms of our Lord and Savior.
