We’ve known Van for over forty years, but unfortunately did not stay in touch after both of our retirements. We are so sorry for your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with your family to comfort you and to remember loving memories of Van to carry you through.

Van embodied the true spirit of being an Elk. If anyone had any kind of issues going on or needed assistance with anything, he was always there to help. Once we had a problem with lawn mowers and were complaining and he showed up at our home the next morning to fix them. While there he also fixed an electrical problem in the house. He did the same for countless others and always volunteered for anything needed at the Lodge. He was a true friend to all who knew him and will deeply missed! Faye, We Love You!

so sad to hear the passing of Van. worked with him at Bellsouth and he and I both retired about the same time. Van went on an Elk hunt with me to Walden Colorado one year along with some of his friends. Marty, Kim and I think Mike. another couple of years before that ran into him at truckstop off I40 going Elk hunting. He also came to the RMEF banquet where I was commitee member. I don’t believe we ever met but Van was always alot of fun to be around. he will be sorely missed.
