Mrs. Trimble passed away at 9:00 a.m., Monday, August 22, 2022, at Willow Care Nursing Home.
She was born July 3, 1942, at Thayer, Missouri, to Thomas Dawe Sr. and Maude Ann Naismith Dawe. Telesa enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and cooking; she would travel anywhere for a good steak. She loved her family, her granddaughters and her many “adopted” kids and would do anything for them. She also loved to tease people. Mrs. Trimble was a member of the First Baptist Church at Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.
She is survived by two children, Christe Caldwell and husband, Shannon, Willow Springs, Missouri and Kim Trimble, Thayer, Missouri; one granddaughter, Megan Koontz and husband, Travis; one great-granddaughter, Kennedy Koontz; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and one brother Tom Dawe Jr. and his wife, Bonnie, preceded her in death.

Mr. Butler passed away at 1:39 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022, at his home.
He was born July 15, 1944, at West Plains, Missouri, to Clinton Jack Butler and Edna Louise Cook Butler. Mr. Butler was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy; he served in Vietnam and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star and Vietnam Campaign Medal. On April 30, 2011, he was married at West Plains, to Beatrice Phillips. Before his retirement, Mr. Butler held many jobs, including bus driver, truck driver, farming, a welder/supervisor at DRS and a boiler maker with Nooter Corporation. He had been a member of the American Simmental Association and the Hearth of the Ozarks Fair Board.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Butler; his children, Michelle Haney, Regina Willard, Jim Butler, Kevin Butler, Roger Bachmann and Mark Bachmann; seven grandchildren, Ashley, Gabriella, Gavin, Jay, Sonny, Mark Jr., Andreanna and Colt; great-granddaughter, Addy; two brothers, Larry Butler and Bennie “Butch” Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents and one grandson, Jaxson preceded him in death.
Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Marcak passed away at 1:34 a.m., Friday, August 19, 2022, at his home.
He was born March 4, 1947 at Deming, New Mexico, to Joseph Felix Marcak and Louise Edna Frerich. On November 1, 1968, he was married at Mountain View, Missouri, to Joyce Womack. Mr. Marcak was a hard worker. He owned an auto repair shop. He liked to play sports and drive his ’64 Chevy. Mr. Marcak was a quiet man, but he also liked to pester people in good fun.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, of the family home; one son, Robert (Bobby) Marcak, Jr., and wife, Michelle; two grandchildren, Taylor Moffis and Parker Moffis; one great-grandson, Sebastian; one brother, Melvin Marcak, West Plains, Missouri; three sisters, Marge Beane, West Plains, Missouri, Linda Andrews, Koshkonong, Missouri, and Lynette Saunders, state of California; one sister-in-law, Margaret Marcak, West Plains, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents, four brothers, Joe Marcak, Bennie Marcak, George Marcak, and Howard Marcak, and two sisters, Judy Hudlow and Helen Perkins, preceded him in death.

On February 7, 1959, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Irma Marie Crow, who preceded him in death January 4, 2021. Mr. Launius was a veteran, having served in the United States Navy. He was a Master Baker, and proudly worked in the food service industry for sixty-seven years. He was a Master Gardener. His favorite flower was the dahlia, and he won many prizes for them. Mr. Launius was a beekeeper, and an avid auction goer. He was a Mason. He was of the Christian faith.
He is survived by one child, Grant Launius and wife, Pamela, West Plains, Missouri; five grandchildren, David Murdy and significant other, Savanna Cunningham, West Plains, Missouri, Christina Dailey and husband, Tim, West Plains, Missouri, Heather Murdy and significant other, T.J. Howerton, Donna-Jean Acosta and husband, Dalton, Silver Springs, Nevada, and Sarah Summers and husband, Steven, Mountain Home, Arkansas; and nine great-grandchildren, Max, Lucas, Meadow, Aidan, Miguel, Kenneth Lee, Amaya-Marie, William Tate, and Zephania.

He was born December 21, 1936, at Caulfield, Missouri, to Saint Elmo Riley and Fern Patillo Riley. On October 26, 1956, he was married at Hernando, Mississippi, to Marjorie Williams. Mr. Riley was a farmer. He loved spending time with family, bluegrass music, horses, farming, swinging under the shade tree and riding his side by side. Mr. Riley was a member of Gospel Hill Church of Christ for 65 years.

On September 14, 1953, she was married at Egypt Grove, Missouri, to Cleo Roosevelt Hobbs, who preceded her in death on December 14, 2001. She enjoyed gardening, quilting and visiting with family and friends. Mrs. Hobbs was a member of Gospel Hill Church of Christ.
She is survived by two children, Danny Ray Hobbs and wife, Linda, West Plains, Missouri and Glenda Sue Wood and husband, Kenny, Pottersville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Bethany Kunz, Brianne Hobbs, Darrin Wood and Devin Wood; four great-grandchildren, Maya, Reece, Jacob and Avie; and several nieces and nephews.

She was born March 20, 1916 at Everett, Washington, to Arch and Florence West Pentecost. On June 13, 1936, she was married at Selmore, Missouri, to Clyde Stewart, Sr., who preceded her in death May 21, 2005. Mrs. Stewart loved to travel. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by two children, Clyde Stewart, Jr. and wife, Jane, West Plains, Missouri, and Bonnie Hille and husband, Rod, Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Stewart, West Plains, Missouri; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two nieces, Anita and Neva; and several other nieces and nephews.

Teddie Steven Pliler, 73, West Plains, Missouri, passed away at 11:17 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Ozarks Healthcare. Arrangements are under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Kathy Lynn Campbell was born April 22, 1954 to Charles and Wilma Tom.
Kathy graduated from West Plains High School and attended SMSU-WP before completing her Bachelors of Elementary Education at the Springfield Campus. In 1991, she graduated with her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Mizzou.
She was the mother of Christopher and Lauren. For them (and others), Kathy was a constant, a light, and an unwavering cheerleader.
For a period of time, Kathy worked as a real estate agent and continued to maintain an active license. She was also a travel agent, a position that prepared her for lovingly coordinating travel for her family whenever the opportunity arose. Her real passions were learning and teaching; at an early age, she knew that she wanted to be a teacher, regularly assigning “homework” to the neighbor kids while growing up in Nebraska and Missouri.
She taught at Friendship Circle Preschool before her 43-year career at Howell Valley School. Beyond the role of teacher, Kathy provided a safe space for countless students. She believed in everyone and always championed for the underdog.
Kathy also taught Psychology and Sociology at MSU-WP for 19 years. She looked forward to instructing her Thursday night classes and took tremendous pride in keeping up with her research in hopes of offering the newest and most interesting information available to her students.
The same principles that she used in her work with 1st-8th graders were brought to her college classroom as well. She loved connecting with students, of all ages, in a way that allowed for them to have a greater understanding of their own values and capacities.
Kathy was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority for Teachers for over 35 years and appreciated the opportunity to connect with her sisters who found a shared sense of meaning in the field. She also served with West Plains Council on the Arts, an organization whose mission and its people were very special to her.
Kathy was a creative. She was unconventional in her approach to life and teaching and often challenged societal expectations; she encouraged others to live and think “outside the box” and to be their most authentic selves, too. No matter one’s status or circumstances, a person always had a sense of belonging with her. She loved with a great depth.
Kathy found humor in almost every situation and was skilled in bringing out playfulness in others (she took particular joy in getting straight-laced people to participate in silliness with her). She was incredibly courageous and an inspiration to others.
She enjoyed live theater, traveling, reading, shopping, spending time with her family, and finding opportunities to contribute.
Kathy was surrounded by loved ones who were and continue to be witnesses to her life. Among them are her children, Christopher and Lauren; her brother, Chuck Tom; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, all of whom meant a great deal to her.
In lieu of sending flowers, the family encourages those wishing to honor Kathy to plant something colorful in her memory.

Mrs. Mumert passed away at 10:45 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Brooke Haven Healthcare.
She was born June 1, 1928, at Onaga, Kansas, to Roy and Alice Heath Kolterman. She attended, and graduated from, Havensville Grade School and High School. During her teen years, she worked as a grocery store clerk, local weekly newspaper reporter, and at the drug store soda fountain. On June 27, 1948, she was married at Havensville, Kansas, to Clifford Allen Mumert, who preceded her in death on January 26, 2015. Also in 1948, Mrs. Mumert attended Kansas City Secretarial School. After secretarial school, she went to work for Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. While living in Noblesville, Indiana, she worked for Garrison and Castor, Attorneys-at-Law. After moving to Missouri, she went to work for University Extension Center from 1966 to 1994. Mr. and Mrs. Mumert owned and operated Audrey’s Antiques from 1967 to 2004. She loved working for God, and she served as Sunday school teacher, church treasurer, various Women’s group offices, and wherever she was needed at Rover, Missouri, Assembly of God. After moving to West Plains, she served as teacher in various age classes and song leader at First Assembly Church, and in the women’s group at Faith Assembly of God Church. Her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the delight of her life. When her children were growing up, she was known to say, “I’m always sad to see the end of summer because my children will be gone at school all day!” Mrs. Mumert also enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, sewing, and collecting Snow White memorabilia. She always loved to travel.
She is survived by three children, Linda Moss and husband, Roy, Pottersville, Missouri, Steve Mumert and wife, Phyllis, Springfield, Missouri, and Roger Mumert and wife, Karen, Sherwood, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Allen Moss, Charles Moss, Diana Moss, Michael Mumert, David Mumert, and Jessica Purvis; fourteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, one granddaughter, Jenifer, two brothers, Delbert and Roscoe, six sisters-in-law, and five brothers-in-law, preceded her in death.

He was born September 8, 1928 at Gainesville, Missouri, to Bedford Forest (B.W.) Whisnant and Tessie Hargis Whisnant. On May 15, 1959, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Velva Strong, who preceded him in death September 25, 2018. Mr. Whisnant was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, and he also enjoyed trading for things. Mr. Whisnant was a mechanic, and he loved visiting with his customers and friends at his shop. He loved being with his family.
He is survived by three children, Charles Whisnant (Jennie), West Plains, Missouri, Tracey Whisnant (Tracy), West Plains, Missouri, and Audrey (Morin) Whisnant, Belcourt, North Dakota; six grandchildren, Alan (Allison), Randy (Emily), Jesse (Jordan), Charley, Jered, and Michelle; eleven great-grandchildren, including special great-grandson, Lowell “Buzz” Stuart; ten great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leeta Mae Terry, Kansas City, Kansas, and Linnie Rae Cox (Danny), Iola, Kansas; and special friend, Danny Judd.

She was born March 2, 1926 at Alton, Missouri, to James A. and Nettie Stevens Deckard. On December 26, 1941, she was married at Doniphan, Missouri, to Chester F. Dildine, who preceded her in death August 10, 2014. Chester and Jewell were married for seventy-two years and had four children. She spent her life as a housewife and loved to garden. Roses were her favorites.
She is survived by two daughters, Annette Woelfel and husband, John, and Wanda Denton, all of Saint Peters, Missouri; seven grandchildren, David Jolley, Steven Jolley, Melvin Voyles, David Pind, Jackie Pind, Nina Denton, and Teena Denton; two step-grandchildren, Anita Woelfel and Gail Woelfel; seventeen great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Dockins passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday morning, July 31, 2022, at his home.
He was born February 8, 1936 in Wideman, Arkansas to Edith Fountain.
On September 4, 1953, he was married in Dubuque, Iowa to Wanita Huff. Mr. Dockins was a member of First Baptist Church. He was a man of peace who loved to watch deer and birds on the 160 acre cattle farm he lived on for fifty years. His steadfastness as a husband was apparent to all as he would still pick flowers for, tease, and dance with his wife Wanita of 68 years. His joy, generosity, and peaceful spirit will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Wanita, of the family home; two children, Mary McGee and husband, Jim McGee, West Plains, and Michael Dockins, Republic, Missouri; five grandchildren, Jacob McGee and wife, Anna, West Plains, Jaime Grisham and husband, John, Jonesboro, Arkansas, Shannon Chen and husband, Stone, West Plains and Chris Dockins and wife, Rose, Republic, Missouri; and eight great-grandchildren Ezra, Edith, Alice, Josephine, Lydia, Lincoln, Bentley, and Liam.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother, mother-in-law, father-in-law and infant son, Jeffrey.

Rickey was born August 12, 1963, to James and Juanita Teeple.
He left behind all those that dearly loved him: one daughter, Keshia Howell; four grandchildren, which were his world, Brian, Lucas, Colt and Oakley; his mother, Juanita Teeple, all of West Plains; and several aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Teeple.
No services will be held per his request. He will be missed by all.

Mr. Lowe passed away after a long battle with cancer on Saturday, July 16, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was born June 12, 1951, at Springfield, Missouri, to Bill and Joanne Lowe. When Mike was twelve, the family moved to West Plains, where he attended West Plains High School and graduated with the Class of 1969. He later attended Southwest Missouri State University (now known as Missouri State University) and studied business. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. Mike married the love of his life and best friend, Bonita; a union of forty-one years. Mr. Lowe spent his career at the family owned business, West Plains Veterinary Supply, until his retirement. He loved his family, spending time at the river, watching his grandchildren in all of their activities, playing golf and traveling. Mike was a huge Yankees fan and was an avid baseball collector. Mr. Lowe served on the board at Community First Banking Company and West Plains Veterinary Supply of Springfield, Inc., was a member of the Noon Rotary Club, served on the West Plains Country Club Board and was very active in his community.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Bonita; three daughters, Melissa Hillis and husband, Eric, Shawna Feuerbacher and husband, Mark and Amy Holland and husband, Rodney; eight grandchildren, Mckenzie, Lauren, Brylee and Adley Hillis, Cole and Max Feuerbacher and Tatum and Drew Holland; his mother, Joanne Lowe; two brothers, Greg Lowe and wife, Denise and Mark Lowe; and many nieces and nephews.
His father preceded him in death.
Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m., at First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery. Graveside services for Nancy Ellen Webster, 75, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 29, 2022 at Bakersfield Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Ms. Webster passed away at 3:45 p.m., Monday, July 25, 2022, at her home.
She was born April 20, 1947, at Milan, Missouri, to Gadius Earl Wattenbarger and Dorothy Williams Wattenbarger. Nancy had worked at Baxter Lab. She enjoyed puzzles and collecting antiques. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed going to family reunions.
She is survived by two children, David Martin and wife, Cindy, West Plains, Missouri and Jeff Martin and special friend, Diane, Mountain View, Missouri; five grandchildren, Ethan Martin and wife, Katie, Jessica Schaab and husband, Tony, Thomas McGoldrick and special friend, Leigh, Brittany Smith and husband, Jeremy and Heath McGoldrick and wife, Missy; seven great-grandchildren, Wade, Trigger, Chloe, Lincoln, Ellie, Brooklyn and Kadin; two sisters, Kathy McCollun, Lewisburg, Tennessee and Judy Hanley and husband, Clay, Mountain Home, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, three brothers, Carl, Donald and Fred Wattenbarger and four sisters, Louise Ford, Amber Quigley, Helen Dunlap and Peggy Wilbur, preceded her in death.

Doreen Weaver, 89, West Plains, Missouri, passed away at 9:25 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Brooke Haven Healthcare.
Ms. Weaver was born October 21, 1932 at Willow Springs, Missouri, to Ira and Beulah Hunt. She worked at Becker’s Jewelry in Mountain View, Missouri, for several years. After moving to West Plains, Missouri, she worked at Williams Discount Liquidations.
She is survived by her son, Keith Weaver and wife, Nita, West Plains, Missouri.
Her parents preceded her in death.
A private fellowship of the family will be held at a later date.
