I know your faith in God will comfort you….just knowing that Cherie is happy and pain free and is with her loving Savior is a great blessing and promise we have. I know you will miss her tremendously but you have many, many friends who will be there for you.

Dorotha, what a great person she was. I remember when Larry built her and Harry RC airplanes and taught them how to fly. What a special loving person she was. She will be missed.

Just heard the news. Sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of Cherie from my early childhood. I’ll never forget her telling me how I would sit in her desk drawer and play on the phone when she still worked for my dad. She always had a beautiful smile and such a wonderful personality. I can still hear her cheery laugh. Even though I haven’t seen her in years, she has always been someone so special to our family. She touched many lives during her time here with us on earth. She will be truly missed. Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers. Love, Amanda (Barnes) Lawley and Family.

My heart sank when I heard the news. She was always someone that had a smile and a good word. She has made her journey and I bet the Lord is saying, “well done my good and faithful servant”.

I wish there was something I could say to help, but there is not anything that will make it hurt any less. I do know that Cherie is in a better place now and in no pain. I can think of several stories that I could share but one comes to mind that I will always be thankful for and will remember the rest of my life. It was the time my mother, Ola Mae Kirk, dealing with cancer, had a driver’s license expire. There was no way she could have driven again, but mom was bound and determined to renew her license. She asked me to take her down to the license bureau to get it renewed. Cherie met us at the door and took mom in to take her test. She came back with her license, even though she couldn’t see well enough to take the exam. This act of kindness gave mom her dignity back and made her feel like she was someone again. I didn’t know how to thank her except give her a hug. Cherie told me she wouldn’t have it any other way. God Bless her. She will never be forgotten.

    Dorotha,
You are in my prayers. I graduated from high school with Cherie, and also enjoyed hearing her play the organ at First Baptist when we came back to visit family at West Plains.
