We are so sorry to hear of Dorotha’s passing, and wish to convey our sincere sympathies to her many friends and family members. I was always very happy that we were cousins; they were a special family indeed!

My sister and I had the blessing of meeting Dorotha in 1995 and what a wonderful time we had learning from her .. She was a wealth of information and a wonderful Christian Woman .. I will always cherish the time I spent with her .. West Plains has lost a fabulous historian . She will be missed by so many … Thank you Dorotha for sharing your life with all who knew you … My sympathy goes out to her family …

What a beautiful woman Mrs. Reavis was. I am so honored to have had her, Harry and Cherie in my life, growing up in West Plains. Happy birthday in Heaven, Dorthea. I’m sure it’s your best one ever¡

Dorotha was one of the greatest Christian women I will ever know. I had the honor to work for her part-time several years ago to help getting documents typed and sent to Jeff City. She was always the same and a wonderful prayer warrior. Several times she prayed with me through hard times I was going through. Dorotha I will miss you so much and I will never forget how you were there for me when I worked for you and even after. You will always hold a special place in my heart and now God has a wonderful angel in His arms who once lived and showed many what a true Christian was and how to show God’s love to others in every way possible. I love you my friend and miss you. One day I will see you in heaven.

Just reading about all the wonderful accolades that this wise lady enjoyed makes my heart smile. In memory, from a former West Plains resident, Jan Adamson

Dorotha Reavis was a remarkable woman. She graciously allowed me to interview her, on multiple occasions in 2013 and 2014, for my biography on Edgar Everett Goodno, a little-known Florida pioneer whose family resided in Howell County in the 1870s and 1880s. I was always impressed by her keen mind, knowledge of local history, graciousness, and kindness. I send my condolences to her loved ones.
