Ellis David Brewer

Graveside services for Ellis David Brewer, 87, Siloam Springs, Arkansas, formerly of West Plains, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Union Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Brewer passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
He was born March 23, 1938, in Gainesville, Missouri, to Mildred and Henry Brewer; he was one of eight children. He was known to most by his middle name, David. David was married in West Plains, Missouri, to Christine Downen. He and Christine had one daughter together, Heather. Ellis had two other daughters, Linda and Sharon, and three stepdaughters, Charlene, Cylene, and Carlene. Ellis had a passion for cars, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He and Christine were longtime members of First Baptist Church in West Plains, Missouri, where they ministered to others by serving in the nursery. They also enjoyed spending time together camping and gardening, and David particularly enjoyed eating the vegetables and the goodies that Christine canned from the garden. David worked many years at the West Plains Shoe Factory, and retired from Missouri State University-West Plains as a member of the maintenance team. Ellis had sixteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Christine, two children, Heather Mulford and husband John, and Sharon Bacon and husband John; fifteen grandchildren; his siblings, Don Brewer, Edith Little and Elsie Morgan; three stepdaughters and their families; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, three brothers, Ed, Earl, and Everett Brewer, one sister, Evelyn Correll, one daughter, Linda, and one grandson, Jerrod, preceded him in death.
Your prayers and support for our family through this time is much appreciated. Memorial contributions may be made to Northwest Arkansas Circle of Life Hospice and may be left at or mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 West Main, West Plains, MO 65775.
