What a great friend! It was my blessing to be her pastor for these last seven years and to have her run our church office during that time. Jan was what the Bible calls a saint. Her attitude was so encouraging every day no matter what came her way. She will be greatly missed but I plan on seeing her in glory one day. May her family be comforted by the Lords power in this time.

I am so sorry to hear of Jan’s passing and pray that God will comfort her children and grandchildren. Jan and I grew up together attending the Langston Street Church of God. When we were teenagers, Jan, Lindall Heselton and I sang together at church as a trio. Jan and I graduated together with the WPHS Class of 1968. What precious memories she leaves behind! Rest in God’s arms now, my friend!

I’m so very sad to hear of Jan’s passing. I’ve read some of the words expressed in her remembrance and they are all so true. Jan was kind and considerate of everyone and that smile was one that could never be forgotten. I regret that Andy and I had not seen her and Stan for many years. We have great memories of both of them. We were married in the same month. I sang at her wedding and she sang at mine. She and I and Janis Collins were the young Langston Street Church of God Girls Trio. Many wonderful memories come to mind about Jan. She loved the Lord and we will meet again someday in Heaven. I thank God for the beautiful person he created Jan to be and how she lived her life holy before God. We are praying for her family and friends to find comfort from Father God.

I am so sorry for your loss. I taught Sunday School in the Nursery class at First Church on Langston St and had Jay and Amy in my class. Always impressed by how much they were taught about the Bible. Such fun kids. Jan and my sister Lindall were good friends. It seems like yesterday. I know she will sadly be missed. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers for the family.

Janice was a dear friend in high school. We made so many memories as members of the Class of 1968. Jan was kind to everyone and an excellent student. She spoke of her faith and lived the example of Jesus We sang The Messiah under the leadership of Mr. Jeff Floyd. That was an experience we all will never forget. May all of her family find comfort in beautiful memories of her and confidence that she rests in His Holy Wings.

It saddened me to hear about Janice’s passing. Our love of music brought us closer in High School. We were in the Senior girl’s trio together in 68. May all who loved her wrap their love around you during this time.

As I entered our Sundy school class room today it felt empty.I remember her and Barbara comparing plants and discussing how to take care of them. Then when we were leading the songs I missed her standing beside me and keeping me on key. Her and I would send emojis back and forth. I will forever miss my dear friend she was loved.

Jan was such a positive force on this earth. She loved the Lord and lived her life to please Him. She was a good friend. She always had a smile. She worked at the Church for many years never seeking any accolades only doing God’s work. I will miss her all the days of my life on this earth, but will see her again in Glory.

Miss Jan will always hold a special place in my heart. Her never waivering faith and dedication to God and her work in his service was unmatched. Her smile told you she was glad to see you and always made you feel special, like you were the only one who mattered right then.
