I had Mrs. Mageehon for more classes than any other teacher when I was at Ava High School (1981-84). She cared about her students and was always interactive in the classroom. Her tutelage was the main reason I studied journalism & English at The School of the Ozarks. This is terribly sad news. My condolences to her kinfolk.

I am so saddened to learn of her passing. It hasn’t been that long since I chatted with her. I’ve known her since grade school. She was so great. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

We were surprised and shocked to hear of Patsy’s passing. We are so very sorry for your loss. We had company last weekend and not able to come for the services. Patsy came to Larry’s visitation last November. We had a good visit then. Phyllis’ son, Shane, and his wife have been with us all week. I would like to have a folder from Patsy’s service.
Patsy was a teacher before I was, so she helped me tremendously with teaching advice when she was at Ava. I even went there and observed her classes one day. I would also love to have contact information for the girls as I remember them as babies. I will be praying for the family to ease their pain. My address is 1933 East Swallow St., Springfield, Mo 65804.
