Rodney Earl Winchester
Funeral services for Rodney Earl Winchester, 69, Caulfield, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Winchester passed away at 11:12 a.m., Sunday, October 22, 2017, near Caulfield, Missouri.
He was born November 15, 1947, at West Plains, Missouri, to Rodney C. Winchester and Pauline Watson Winchester. He was married to Edith Ann Eagleman Winchester. Mr. Winchester attended West Plains High School and graduated with the Class of 1966. He was a veteran, having served with the United States Navy on the U.S. Hancock aircraft carrier, from 1966 to 1970, during the Vietnam War. He worked for twenty years at Padgett Hardware, until their closing; he then began working for Webtrol Pump Service and retired in September, 2016 after nineteen years. He enjoyed walking in the woods with his dogs, Winnie and Roxy and loved to hunt and fish with his brother-in-law, Tim. Mr. Winchester was a talented artist, working with charcoal pencil and paints and painted a mural of a ship in the family home. His family had called him by his nickname, Tommy, all of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Winchester, of the family home; one daughter, Dusty; one son, Cody; two sisters, Carolyn Gerber and husband, David and Glenda Hunter and husband, Ronald, all of West Plains, Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roger and Darley Eagleman, Connie Eagleman and Tim and Charm Eagleman; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and two special pets, Winnie and Roxy.
His parents and father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Goldie Eagleman, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Free Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Free Union Cemetery or Paragould Children’s Home and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
