Linda Lou Driskell, 69, Pomona, Missouri, passed away at 7:22 a.m., Friday, April 14, 2017 at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri.
She was born April 4, 1948, at Independence, Iowa, to Ruben Straw and Agnes Fratzke Straw. On May 27, 1967, she was married at Independence, Iowa, to David Driskell. Linda was a homemaker and had worked at Wal-Mart for the past twelve years. She enjoyed her grandchildren, riding motorcycles, traveling and crafts.
She is survived by her husband of nearly fifty years, David Driskell; two daughters, Schantel Smith and Melanie Reid; three grandchildren, Hailey and David Reid and Nora Elizabeth Reed; two sisters, Carol Miller and Donna Simmons; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and two brothers-in-law, Jerry Miller and Jeff Simmons, precede her in death.

He was born December 1, 1947, at West Plains, Missouri, to Orval Hezicar “Bunn” Brotherton and Mary Elizabeth Nichols Brotherton. Tom graduated from Willow Springs High School with the Class of 1965 and had worked at M.F.A. feed mill and as a custodian for West Plains R-7 Schools. He enjoyed auctions, flea markets, yard sales and served many years with the Pomona Fire Department and was currently serving on the Board. He was known as “Uncle Tom”.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Missy Bates and husband, Mike, Donnie Brotherton, Beth Mulholland, Tracy Dewees, Duane Brotherton and Rick Dewees; several great-nieces and great-nephews, including, Dawn Fox, Layne Bates and Marie Bone and husband, John; and one great-great-niece, Nicole Barnett.
His parents, one brother, Donald Brotherton, one sister, Sue Fox and one niece, Kelly Sue Campbell, precede him in death.

He was born October 10, 1950, at Dexter, Missouri, to Carroll W. Lawson and Ruth Etta Campbell Lawson Ingleton. On August 22, 2003, he was married at West Plains, to Mary Lou Thomas. Mr. Lawson worked for Ball Glass Company in Illinois for thirty-five years. He enjoyed fishing, four wheeling, visiting with family and neighbors; he was always willing to help anyone with a need. Mr. Lawson was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lawson; three children, Thomas Gary Lawson and wife, Babette, Kim Fox and husband, Jim and Michelle Lucas; one step-daughter, Cindy Sinclair and husband, Marty; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Debbie Thompson and husband, James and Janet Johnson; two brothers, Mike Butts and Steven Butts; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, step-father, Ted Ingleton; three brothers, Richard, Carroll “Buzz” and Gene Lawson, two sisters, Judy Darnell and Linda Butts and one step-son, James Newton, precede him in death.

He was born March 7, 1935, at West Plains, Missouri, to John Schultz and Fay Hathcock Schultz. On March 20, 1954, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Jacqueline “Jackie” Bryson, who preceded him in death on February 27, 2016. Mr. Schultz was retired from General Electric and enjoyed fishing and duck hunting.
He is survived by four children, Larry Schultz, Gainesville, Missouri, Debbie Dalton, Las Vegas, Nevada, Jimmy Schultz, Louisville, Kentucky and Eddie Schultz, Las Vegas, Nevada; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, John Schultz and wife, Dorothy, Theodosia, Missouri; one brother-in-law, David Bryson, West Plains, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Darlene Renner, Springfield, Missouri, Ruby Thompson, West Plains, Missouri, and Freda Arzberger, Springfield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Deming passed away at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Alliance Health, Ponca City, Oklahoma.
She was born February 27, 1947, at West Plains, Missouri, to Charles Ralph Krause and Mary Alice Barrett Krause. Marilyn graduated from West Plains High School with the Class of 1965 and attended Draughon Business University in Springfield, Missouri. On August 25, 1973, she was married at Fresno, California, to Douglas Deming. She worked briefly at a television station in Springfield doing news broadcasts and always said this was her favorite work. From 1966 to 1970, she worked for the U.S. Forest Service in both California and Missouri. She worked at both the Mark Twain National Forest and Yosemite National Park. During this time she co-starred in commercials for the Forest Service with Smokey the Bear! In 1972 she began her career with the Social Security Administration from which she retired after 30 years of service in 2002. Upon retirement, she visited her daughter, Jolyn, in Japan for 2 weeks. It was only time she traveled outside of the United States and was a memory she often talked of fondly.
Marilyn was the best wife, mother and grandmother; she loved the Lord and took care of everyone she knew. She loved to garden, cook for her family and was an amazing seamstress. Mrs. Deming loved her animals, and puppies, Roxie and Buddie. Mrs. Deming was a member of Hartford Avenue Church of Christ for twenty years.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband Louie Douglass Deming whom she had been married to for over 40 years, her son Ralph Douglass “R.D.” Deming, her daughter Mary Jolyn Bauer, her son-in-law Thomas Corbin Bauer, and her granddaughters Mary Kaitlyn Bauer (age 10) and Audrey Elyse “Ellie” Bauer (age 6).
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Ralph Krause and Mary Alice Barrett.
She was the greatest example of love and faithfulness that we had in our lives. Every day that she was with us was another chance for her to be an example of how you love completely, forgive quickly and lean on Christ in all things.
We are comforted by the knowledge of her being reunited with her mother and father, and smile at the thought of how her heart must have leapt knowing she was crossing that beautiful river to go home.
Mrs. Deming will lie in state from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Free Union Cemetery. He was born March 2, 1934, at Rover, Missouri, to Wade VonAllmen and Sula Bales VonAllmen. Mr. VonAllmen graduated from Thomasville High School. On October 15, 1952, he was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Betty Geneva McCracken, who preceded him in death on July 27, 2010. Before his retirement, Mr. VonAllmen worked at DRS, formerly known as Southwest Truck Body. He was a past member of the Saddle Club and civil defense. Mr. VonAllmen was very active in church and held memberships at Faith Assembly of God and His Place.
He is survived by four children, Pamela Sue Jones and husband, Mark, Tipton, Oklahoma, Ronald Carl VonAllmen and wife, Leslie, Springfield, Missouri, Terri Elaine VonAllmen, West Plains and Douglas Paul VonAllmen, West Plains; ten grandchildren, Mark Allen Jones, Christopher Jones, Melissa VonAllmen Grendell, Nathan VonAllmen, Samantha VonAllmen, Eva McReynolds, Hanna VonAllmen, Justin Najdawi, Jene’ Najdawi and Victoria Lawrence; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family.

Mrs. Fore passed away at 3:23 p.m., Sunday, April 2, 2017, near Mountain View, Arkansas.
She was born September 30, 1937, at Vidette, Arkansas, to Rufus Cotter and Anna Wilson Cotter. On April 27, 1958, she was married at Vidette, Arkansas, to Paul Fore. Mrs. Fore worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at Pine Lane Nursing Home and Care Manor in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She enjoyed traveling and camping and loved her family, which meant everything to her. Mrs. Fore was a member of the County Line Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Paul Fore; two children, Mike Fore and wife, Debbie and Beverly Jones and husband, Cory; four grandchildren and two great-granddaughters, Mandi Bontrager and husband, Josh and their two daughters, Madilynn and Bella; Lorin Dewey, Jonathan Dewey and Ashley Jones; two brothers, Harold Cotter and wife, Wanda and Ben Cotter and wife, Debbie; two sisters, Reba Huett and husband, Earl and Barbara Perryman and husband, Danny; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herbert and Ruby Fore, precede her in death.

Marian Josephine McNevin, the daughter of W. T. and Ella Payne Benfield, was born February 11, 1928 at West Plains, Missouri. She entered into eternal rest March 29, 2017 at the age of eighty-nine years.
She graduated from the West Plains High School with the Class of 1945. On June 24, 1946, she was married in Hernando, Mississippi to Jack McNevin. For more than eighteen years, Marian was a librarian at the West Plains Public Library retiring in 1978 as Assistant Librarian. Her love for reading continued to be an important past time of her life. Marian was very proud of West Plains and always wanted to do anything to help her hometown grow and prosper. She attended First Presbyterian Church in West Plains.
Marian is survived by her husband of seventy years, Jack McNevin; four daughters, Sue Ann Warden, West Plains, Sandy McNevin, Wellington, Kansas, Sally Watkins, West Plains and Sunie Pace and husband, Bo, West Plains; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Pat McNevin; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, four sisters, Bea Clark, Pauline Chandler, Juanita Lane, Helen Patterson and one brother, Orville Benfield, precede her in death.
Often when Marian would hear someone talking about their dreams and plans, she would laugh and tell them about plans she had made when she was very young. She loved to dance and was a very good dancer. Her dream was that she was going to marry a tall blond man that liked to dance. Then a black haired runt came into her life and everything changed. Marian and this runt, Jack, spent over seventy years living another dream filled with much love and happiness.
She had two things she loved in life, dancing and ice cream. She always said to celebrate her life, she would like to have everyone get together, eat ice cream, play big band music and dance all they wanted.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
To celebrate her life, there will be a visitation at the West Plains Country Club on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., for all to eat ice cream and enjoy music.
Marian would like the memories of her to be happy ones. She would like to leave an after glow of smiles now that her life is done.

Mr. Belt died 1:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. He was born HFebruary 24, 1943 at Elijah, Missouri to Odie Belt and Sylvia Bowen Belt. On February 13, 1964, he was married at Leota, Missouri to Shirley Collins. Mr. Belt was a veteran having served during the Vietnam Conflict and retired after twenty years with the United States Army. He enjoyed tractors and steam engines and was a member of the North Arkansas Wheels and Steam Engine Club of Harrison, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Belt, of the family home; three children, John Dwayne Belt, wife, Tabitha, Rocky Allen Belt, wife, Vicki and Tina Grayham, husband, Ronnie; six grandchildren, Jonathan Belt, wife, Brittney, Joshua Belt, fiancée, Aly, Shane Belt, Shelby Ellison, husband, Dakota,Whitney Grayham and Jacob Grayham; four great-grandchildren, Kyden, Saydie, Amerlyn and Arianna; one brother,Ray Gene Belt, wife, Shirley; one sister, Linda Alexander, husband, Kevin Walker; and several nieces and nephews including Dakota Dunnihoo and Willy Belt.

He was born April 27, 1928, at Olden, Missouri, to Hiriam Turner and Ila Fine Turner. On January 25, 1953, he was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Bonnie Gay Cook, who preceded him in death on May 8, 2004. Mr. Turner was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Before his retirement he was a heavy equipment operator for Adams Construction Company, Stewart Brothers Construction Company and the City of West Plains. Mr. Turner enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting.
He is survived by one daughter, Marcia Robson; three grandchildren, Melissa Gilbreath and husband, Bentley, Colter Robson and wife, Amanda and Lauren Jones and husband, Damon; two great-grandchildren, Bailey Verity-Gilbreath and Maddison Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Summers passed away at 7:47 a.m., Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his home.
He was born January 3, 1935, in Howell County, Missouri, to Thomas Benton Summers and Georgia Mustion Summers. On January 24, 1959, he was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Gladys Louise Hunter, who preceded him in death on August 9, 2005; to this union three children were born: Cassie Louise Summers House, Vicky Jo Callahan and Richard Joe Summers. Mr. Summers was a veteran, having served in the United States Army. Joe Ben was a farmer all of his life. In his younger years he was a member of the Summers 4-H Club, he won many awards and medals with his animals and livestock judging. One of his biggest accomplishments was attending the National 4-H Congress in Chicago, Illinois. Some of the biggest joys of his life were his kids and grandkids, his farm and animals, driving around and visiting neighbors. He loved telling stories about past events, fishing and coon hunting. Mr. Summers was a Baptist and was very strong in his faith. He attended Faith Chapel Freewill Baptist Church when he was able.
He is survived by three children, Cassie Louise Summers House and Tony House, Vicky Jo Callahan and husband, Jack and Richard Joseph Summers and wife, Peggy; eight grandchildren, Amy Long Denman, Jason Ray House and wife, Stephanie, Jessica Dawn House, Jackie Lee Callahan and wife, Amy, Jodi LaRae Rector and husband, Toby, Joseph Cody Summers, Jacob Catlin Summers and Shelby Jade Summers; thirteen great-grandchildren, John and Ryan Long, Cooper House, Taylor House, Blaze, Alexia and Kindel Bishop, Jenna, Kassidy and Kamden Rector and Whitlee, Jaxen and Kelsey Callahan; and many special family members, neighbors and friends.

Mrs. Perry passed away at 5:15 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at her home.
She was born July 5, 1948, at Bakersfield, Missouri, to Roy Thomas Strain and Pearl Evelyn Gillette Strain. Linda received her education in the schools of Bakersfield, Missouri, graduating from Bakersfield High School with the Class of 1966. On March 9, 1968, she was married at Bakersfield, Missouri, to Henry Perry. Mrs. Perry had been employed as a lead checker in quality control and office worker for Baxter Lab, Mountain Home, Arkansas for twelve and a half years, and was also employed as a financial counselor at Ozarks Medical Center for twenty-nine years. Mrs. Perry was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and served as a Deacon’s wife for many years. Linda attended Curry Street Church of Christ of West Plains. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. One of her special interests was collecting antique dishes and crocks. Linda truly treasured her time with her family and making memories.

She was born August 14, 1922, at Dora, Missouri, to Henry Womack and Mary Bass. On February 3, 1941, she was married at West Plains, Missouri, to Lloyd Wallin, who preceded her in death on May 17, 1982. Before her retirement, Mrs. Wallin worked as a cook. She loved gardening and flowers and was a “people person”.
She is survived by one son, Lloyd Neal Wallin and wife, Linda, Lexington, Texas; one granddaughter, Jessica Legan and husband, Chris, Springfield, Missouri; one great-grandson, Jay Paul; one sister, Sue Preston, Moody, Missouri; her best friend, Sharon Hale; her companion and very special friend, Raymond Rusty Callis; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends and loved ones in Missouri and Texas.

Graveside services for Sue Fox, 74, Pomona, Missouri, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fox passed away at 3:03 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.
She was born December 27, 1942, at Pomona, Missouri, to Orval Hezicar “Bun” Brotherton and Mary Elizabeth Nichols Brotherton. She graduated from Willow Springs High School with the Class of 1961 and on August 6, 1966, she was married at Pomona, Missouri, to Harvey “Hollis” Fox, who preceded her in death on October 31, 2013. Mrs. Fox worked in the fitting department at the International Shoe Factory. She loved reading, cooking and watching Hallmark movies. Mrs. Fox was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by one daughter, Missy Bates and husband, Mike, Pomona, Missouri; three grandchildren, Dawn Fox, Layne Bates and Marie Bone and husband, John; one great-granddaughter, Nicole Barnett; one brother, Tom Brotherton, Pomona, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins.
Her parents, husband, one daughter, Kelly Sue Campbell and one brother, Donald Robert Brotherton, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday, at the Langston Street Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Jean Campbell, 93, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Campbell passed away at 6:50 p.m., Monday, March 20, 2017 at her home.
She was born July 16, 1923, at Amy, Missouri, to John and Iva (Rogers) Hunter. Jean attended grade school in a one room school at Prairie Grove, walking one and a half miles from home. She attended high school at Bakersfield, Missouri, graduating with the Class of 1941. Jean attended her freshman year of college at State Teachers College, Springfield, Missouri, now known as Missouri State University, while working for her room and board. In the fall of that year, she began teaching school; she taught the lower grades in two room schools, including Brandsville and Egypt Grove. Jean was saved at an early age and joined the Congregational Methodist Church at Amy Chapel in 1938. Through the years, she taught classes in Sunday School and Bible School. She played the piano for church services and for many weddings and funerals. Jean was a member of a church women’s group named the Union Worker, a member of the WCTU Organization, West Plains Artist’s Guild and was a Trustee of the Amy Union Chapel Cemetery. She was also church secretary of the Congregational Methodist Church for many years. Jean was married to Beach Campbell on April 26, 1944 and went to Vallejo, California with him, where he was employed as a ship fitter at Mare Island Naval Yard building submarines. She was also employed at the Naval Yard as a clerk typist. After the war ended, the coupled returned to Missouri where they bought a farm from Jim Scherzer. There they bought and sold cattle and horses. To this union three children were born: Danny, Ann and Jim. Her daughter, Ann became a flight instructor and taught Jean to fly. She took her solo flight at the West Plains Airport. Beach died of cancer in 1989 and in 1990, Jean moved to West Plains to live. She always had a large garden; she canned and froze vegetables, giving a lot away to friends and family. Her gardening, oil painting and family were a great joy to her. While still at the farm, Jean had a large easel made with colored lights above it. She took her colored chalks once a month to the nursing homes and drew pictures for the residents. Jean later injured her shoulder and had to give up the program.
She is survived by her son, Danny and wife, Linda; six grandchildren, Nita, Nancy, Dana, Brent, Christopher and Lauren; two step-grandchildren, Casey and Presley Winterberg; seven great-grandchildren, Linnea and Aidan Cornell, Evan Foulke, Michael Scott and Ann-Renee Cawvey, Ava and Jacy Campbell; one sister-in-law, Helen Comer; daughter-in-law, Traci Prenot-Campbell; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, son, Jim, daughter, Ann and six sisters, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Amy Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Amy Union Cemetery and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Freda Jean (Wiggs) Dunkin, 83, Bellflower, Missouri, formerly of West Plains, will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 25, 2017 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Freda passed away at 4:00 a.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the home of her son, Larry W. Dunkin, Sr., in Troy, Missouri.
She was born April 15, 1933 at Alton, Missouri to Leamon Smith Wiggs and Lavetta Irene (Vincent) Wiggs. Freda was united in marriage to Hanford Ervin Dunkin on October 4, 1950 in Salem, Arkansas. They had two sons – Larry Wayne Dunkin, Sr. and Kenneth Lowell Dunkin, Sr. Freda excelled at her roles in life – wife, mother, homemaker and a loving, hardworking partner to Hanford in the running of their various farms. Freda worked at various jobs in her life but the two she thought and talked about the most were at Con-Ferro Paint and Varnish (Now marketed under the Valspar label) and, for her, her crowning glory, West View Nursing Home and Pleasant Valley Assisted Living Facility. Freda loved caring for her “people” at Pleasant Valley where she served in the capacity of Certified Nursing Assistant and Med-Tec. Freda retired from Pleasant Valley which was an emotional moment for her and her “people”. Freda was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star at Woodside and was a past Worthy Matron.
She is survived by her two sons, Larry Wayne Dunkin, Sr. and wife, Carol, Troy, Missouri and Kenneth Lowell Dunkin, Sr. and wife, Linda, St. Peters, Missouri; four grandchildren, Larry W. Dunkin, Jr. and wife, Marissa, Kenneth L. Dunkin, Jr. and wife, Tina, Susan Byrd and husband,Chris and Jeffrey Dunkin; three step-grandchildren, Jennifer Thomas and husband, Steven, Jessica Cox and Amanda Settles and husband, Michael; eight great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Berry.
Her parents, husband, one brother, Edwin Wiggs and two sisters, Eleanor Dodson and Cecelia Pingleton, precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 11:00 until 12:00 Noon, Saturday, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, next to her husband, in the Veterans Section. Mr. Preston passed away at 1:55 a.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017 at his home.
He was born December 20, 1960, at West Plains, Missouri, to Burton “Pete” Preston and Ethel Susan “Sue” Bass Preston. On August 22, 2010, he was married at West Plains, to Karla Collins. His world was his granddaughter, Skiler.
He is survived by his wife, Karla Preston; three children, Dagan, Brittni and Brandi Preston; one granddaughter, Skiler Nipper; his mother, Sue Preston; two brothers, Charles and Jack Wallin; two sisters, Connie Ruiz and Lynn Parrish and husband, Danny; and several nieces and nephews.
His father, one brother, Lloyd Wallin, one sister, Judy Wallin and one grandchild, Kolt Nipper, precede him in death.

Mr. Adkison passed away at 12:05 a.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at NHC Healthcare.
He was born October 6, 1929, at Yale, Oklahoma, to Claude Benjamin Adkison and Sophie Etah Frost Adkison. On March 10, 1953, he was married at Della Plane, Arkansas, to Eufa Marie Eubanks. Mr. Adkison was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Before his retirement, he worked as a diesel mechanic at Earl’s International; he enjoyed fishing and watching television.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Eufa Adkison; five children, Janet Pate and husband, Rick, Salem, Arkansas, Danny Adkison and wife, Nellie, West Plains, Catherine Asmus and husband, James, West Plains, Amber Sell, West Plains and Frances Russell and husband, Larry, Moody, Missouri; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, one brother and two sisters, precede him in death.
