Dear Deborah, Bruce, Jan, and John,

I was so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. She was a very special person in my life. We remained in contact with each other over the years through our exchange of Christmas cards and an occasional personal note. On behalf of myself and the extended family of Monroe Forbes, please accept our most sincere condolences and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Your mom was such a grand lady. My mom adored her and often told the story of how one year at Homecoming a group a senior girls fixed it so no Freshman girls could attend without an invitation from an upper classman. (My mother, Marimartha Roper Ritter), Mrs. Grisham was a senior and issued a personal invitation to every Freshman girl. She was a grand lady indeed.

My deepest sympathy to the Grisham family. Your loss is shared by many people in West Plains who loved Jeanette. She was such a special lady, and I enjoyed taking bread to her. She was always so gracious and sent me one of her special cards. I was concerned when I took bread and a card on her birthday and she didn’t answer her door.

    Prayers for comfort and peace.

    To the Grisham Families,

Our Deepest Sympathy to all of you on the passing of Jeanette. She was a lovely, caring individual and a wonderful neighbor to us as well. She will be missed. Wonderful memories of her driving by our house and waving/smiling to us all. During this time may God comfort, strengthen, encourage, and give each of you peace. May God bless all of you.

    John and Emily,

One of my fondest memories in college and after college was coming down to West Plaines and going over to see Mr. and Mrs. Grisham

They both always made me feel special and always asked me about me.

I am so glad they are now reunited in heaven!

    Gob Bless and Love Forever!
