It saddens my heart to hear this news, Makayla your dad was a good hand and a good friend. The world will be a lesser place without him, his smile and laughter. Your daddy love you very much and he talked about you all the time. You have my sincere condolences. Rev. James Ray

My heart goes out to his daughter and his family. I was working for the Missouri Army National Guard @ Fort Leonard Wood, when Vaughn first started there as the grounds-keeper and then when he got hired on with Maintenance Facilities.

Vaughn was a good natured person, good friend, he was well mannered man, respectful, and a hard worker, easy to talk to and with. I knew him well and had allot of good times working him. Vaughn always had a smile, and was fun to be around.

He will be missed, and a loss to all.

My prayers and sympathy goes out to the whole family.

I will miss his humor and friendship.

Makayla, I am so sorry to hear about your father. I will miss him too. Your grandfather Percy was my brother so your Dad was my nephew. It is very hard to lose a father but God is right there with you and he loves you and cares about you. Your father will live on in you with all the love he has given you and all the things you have learned from him. I love you very much and know God will take care of you.
    All my love

Makayla: I am so grieved about Vaughn. I am Percy’s sister and Vaughn was my nephew. We loved him very much and he was the same age as my youngest son. Lavell and Vaughn always played together when they were young, when we went to California. I know how hard to lose your father, but God will always give you the strength to carry on. You, your mother, Grandma Margaret and Gerald and his family are all in our prayers. I still have your picture on Grandma Belle’s dresser when you were little. We love you very much and just know that you had wonderful father. His love and all of the precious memories you have of him will always live in your heart. We will miss him so much. May the Lord keep you in the hollow of His hand and give you peace and strength during this very trying time.
    Love and prayers,
Aunt Liz and Uncle Loy, and Lavell and Lynard (your father’s cousins)
