Hazel Verline Hall

Funeral services for Hazel Verline Hall, 93, Moody, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Free Union Church of Christ, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hall went to be with her Lord at 7:50 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at her home.
She was born January 15, 1921, at Rockport, Missouri, to Robert Samuel Whitham and Minnie Mae Farley Whitham. On May 27, 1944, she was married at Hiawatha, Kansas, to Maxie Earl Hall, who preceded her in death on January 13, 1976. Mrs. Hall loved flowers and enjoyed canning vegetables, traveling, watching game shows, westerns and Cardinals baseball and most of all she loved her God and family. She was a second mother and grandmother to many children in the neighborhood and was called Grandma Hazel by many. Mrs. Hall was a member of the Free Union Church of Christ for over fifty years.
She is survived by five children, Annita Hall, Machesney Park, Illinois, Max “Sonny” Hall, wife, June, Gilbert, Arizona, Donna Hobbs, husband, Kenny, McLouth, Kansas, Karen Bowen, husband, Bobby, Moody, Missouri and Darla Cobb, West Plains, Missouri; eighteen grandchildren; forty great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Colwell, Imogene, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, two grandsons, one great-grandson; one great-great-granddaughter, five brothers and one infant brother, precede her in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Free Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Paragould Children’s Home, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
