She was the piano player. They married four weeks later, on April 28, 1962, and were happily married for 43 years. Their joke was that he ran off with the piano player. The couple continued in the ministry and were blessed with seven children; Nancy, Wendell, Sharry, Dwight, Daisy, Benjamin, and Dollie. In 1978, Sharon packed her family up and joined her husband on the evangelistic field, making their home out of an old, blue bus. Also, traveling with the family was Sharon’s Singer sewing machine, which she used to make curtains for the bus and clothes for the family. Her unending faith in the Lord saw the family through hard times, and her testimony of healing has blessed many through the years. She was known for reminding us all of Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Her big smile lit up the room. Mrs. Warden passed away at 10:39 a.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017 at New Mark Care Center, Kansas City, Missouri.
Loretta was raised with love, grace, and respect by her parents Owen and Nerva Black, along with brother, Roy and sister, Meredith (husband, Leroy). She was married to Loyd Warden Jr.; their marriage brought Loretta her boys, Loyd Owen (wife, Cathy), Danny Keith (wife, Deborah). She was then gifted with her grandchildren, Tia Marie, Brandon Chase, Danielle Nicole, Joshua Loyd and Michael Owen. Tia then blessed her with her great-grandchildren, Sage Willow and Ember Snow. She spent her later years with her partner, Bill and her dog, Jodi. Loretta was a proud, strong willed and vibrant woman. Her passion in life was to be an artist through ceramics and music. Loretta always wanted to look her best. For anyone that knew Loretta, knew that she was straight forward and not afraid to share her opinion. She will be missed.
