    Dear Family
My heart and prayers are with you all. So glad that I had the pleasure of hearing Greg speak of Doc with great pride over the years. I think that a lot of folks can say that about Doc. I’m glad I had the pleasure of knowing him and meeting his wonderful family
    Love

Dr. Gardner was a fine fellow and businessman during my years growing up in Mtn. View. He was always upbeat and had time for a story when He stopped by my Fathers garage where He kept His car while in Mtn. View. I will always remember Him fondly.

I have enjoyed Doc over the years in Hardees.
A good man, and a JOY to be around.
I have gotten to know the family, and my prayers are with you all.

I Just love doc very sweet man.. I will always cherish the great memories he gave me… how he comes to hardees bangs his coffee cup on the counter requested a cup full of sugar NOT the sugar packs that took to much time to sit and open.. how his daughter would come see us with him and she got to see a very ornery Side of doc with us girls… I will miss seeing him and teasing him or trying to convince him to eat… I will truly miss this man… he will always hold a huge part of my heart.. love Amber Pennington

I thought the world of Doc Gardner. My dad, John T. Kirk, took me to him for my first eye appointment when I was young. He made me feel at ease throughout the whole experience. When I was finishing college several years ago, I went to Doc for some information about an eye disease in a report for school and of course he gave me all the information and a model of the eye to take to school and an indepth explanation of what I needed to explain it. That was before internet and the information was very helpful. I will always remember Doc and how he helped the community in several different ways.
