Marvin Clayton Shockey

Funeral services for Marvin Clayton Shockey, 82, Willow Springs, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2015 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mr. Shockey died 7:20 p.m., Tuesday, December 22, 2015 in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri. He was born September 14, 1933 at Isabella, Missouri to Clarence Shockey and Alma Hart Shockey. On July 27, 1957, Mr. Shockey was married at West Plains, Missouri to Wilma Abney. Before his retirement, Mr. Shockey was employed with the telephone company for several years. His favorite past times was fishing, gospel singing by the Murdy Family; Marvin enjoyed attending meetings in his community as a guest. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma Abney Shockey, of the family home; two sons, Larry Shockey, wife, Karen and Michael Shockey, wife, Jeanette, both of West Plains, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jessica Shockey, Willow Springs, Missouri and Zachary Shockey, Rogersville, Missouri; five step-grandchildren, Tyler Collins, Mountain View, Missouri, Ashley Clark, Alexander Clark, Andrew Evins and Adrian Evins, all of West Plains, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Isaac, Aubrey and Logan; one brother, Joe Shockey, wife, Shirley, Gainesville, Missouri; two sisters, Norma Hall, husband, Reverend Junior Hall, Wilma Oliver, husband, Marion, both of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Reverend William and Virginia Abney, two sisters, Donna White and Erma Forrester, and one step-grandson, Austin Clark, precede him in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 28th, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in Howell Valley Cemetery, West Plains, Missouri.
